Ask any liberal and they will tell you, the Republican Party is the party of racism. Yet somehow if asked to research the history of both parties, they either call you names or change the subject. The truth is, the Democratic Party is the TRUE party of racism. This is a little history that ought to be taught in schools, however is constantly ignored.
If one takes the time to spend a little time on Google, or in books about REAL race history, they will find that the Democrats have been racists to the core from their beginning. From Andrew Jackson and Stephen A. Douglas, Woodrow Wilson, LBJ, and so on, you will eventually see a pattern. Hardcore Racism. Andrew Jackson wanted all the Indians removed, along with his thoughts that slavery was necessary. Stephen A. Douglas in his own words, “I hold that a negro is not and never ought to be a citizen of the United States.” Andrew Johnson as President upon Lincoln’s assassination, vetoed the Civil Rights Act of 1866. His biggest reasons were to keep slavery in the south, and prevent interracial marriage. Fortunately the veto was overridden by Senate REPUBLICANS, and the Act survived.

Senator Ben Tillman of South Carolina was probably one of the worst racist Democrats. He led the violence committed by the “Red Shirts” against blacks, mainly black Republicans who wanted to hold on to Reconstruction. This awful display of hate included murdering a black Senator as he knelt praying. Of the many colorful comments made by Tillman, one stands out to me, “Republicanism means Negro equality, while the Democratic Party means that the white man is supreme”. You can’t make this stuff up, sad.
Yup, the Democratic Party is absolutely full of historical racist members. Truman’s pathetic remarks above not withstanding, good ol Woodrow Wilson, turning the blind eye to racism while having a private showing of the uber racist film “Birth of a Nation” in the confines of the White House. Franklin D. Roosevelt, kept Wilson’s segregation polices in place, not to mention his constant use of the “N” word throughout his correspondence. Then there’s Lyndon B. Johnson, who I will let you judge from his quote in the picture below. It would take a very long time and more room than this post allows, to give you all the details of this hateful racist machine. At least though, this touched the surface, and will make you want to do your own research to learn more about the party who today claims to be the party of blacks and minorities. Until the truth about the Democratic Party is out in the mainstream, there will be way too many who never know this dark history. We will never heal racial divides in this country as long as these people aren’t exposed for who they truly are.
