DHS, White House Call AP Story on National Guard “100% False”

(Before It's News)

As soon as the news breaks, it is debunked by two separate entities mentioned directly in the story: Sean Spicer has tweeted out the story that the Department of Homeland Security is NOT thinking about tapping 100,000 National Guard troops to assist with immigration enforcement.

This is not true. DHS also confirms it is 100% false https://t.co/MFIJci7XaU

The denials are raising questions, as the AP’s original story states they asked both entities, the White House and DHS, for comment.

“AP reporter noted they asked multiple times before publication” https://t.co/AmZxu6qhBa

Is it another case of fake news? Or is the administration reacting quickly to a story it doesn’t think will bring good PR?
