Jerry “Moonbeam” Brown Promises a “Countermovement” to Trump’s Environmental Policy

(Before It's News)

Immediately after President Trump signed an “Energy Independence” executive order at the EPA Tuesday, rolling back Obama-era regulations, California Governor Jerry Brown was ready for the “Countermovement” to begin.

Of course he was. Governor Moonbeam is longing for some ’60s era activism and protesting, and since it got way too cold for the Keystone Pipeline hipsters to continue their sit-in, this is the perfect opportunity. After all, it doesn’t involve relocating to a place short on Starbucks, wifi, and gluten-free bakeries.

Moonbeam fancies himself as somewhat of an environmental expert. Of Trump’s executive order, he says:

“It defies science itself….Erasing climate change may take place in Donald Trump’s mind, but nowhere else.

“Yes, there is going to be a countermovement….I have met with many heads of state, ambassadors. This is a growing movement. President Trump’s outrageous move will galvanize the contrary force. Things have been a bit tepid [in climate activism]. But this conflict, this sharpening of the contradiction, will energize those who believe climate change is an existential threat.”

It will “galvanize the contrary force?” Has he been watching Star Wars?

Before we take Brown’s warnings too seriously, we should remember that he believes global warming will bury all of California’s seaside areas. (C’mon, we all know an EARTHQUAKE will do that!)

“If that happens, the Los Angeles airport’s going to be underwater,” Brown told reporters at a presentation of his revised state budget proposal in Los Angeles. “So is the San Francisco airport.”

Also underwater, he added, would be the San Onofre nuclear power plant.

And he’s the man who compared his high-speed rail boondoggle to the intercontinental railroad, the Suez Canal, and the Panama Canal:

“People would say, ‘How the hell are you going to do that?’ Well, they did it,” said Brown, who also mentioned those who fought construction of the Golden Gate Bridge, the Bay Area Rapid Transit system and the Panama and Suez canals.

C’mon, Jerry. What credibility do you have in this area?

None. Environmental issues are simply the way you attempt to gain relevance. Just stop, and fade into the woodwork.
