Art project supports pediatric programs

New York, New York (PRWEB) October 20, 2012

MultiPlan, Inc. is pleased to announce the top drawings selected for the 2012 Holiday Card program. Congratulations go to Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis, MD and Metro Health Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio.

MultiPlan’s Holiday Card Program invites pediatric patients at hospitals participating in MultiPlan’s PPO networks to enter their drawings for a public vote on the MultiPlan website. The five entries that receive the most votes are featured on holiday greeting cards, produced courtesy of MultiPlan. All hospitals that submit drawings receive boxed sets of the cards for use in fundraising to support pediatric activities.

The two winning hospitals shared the top five entries, with three from Anne Arundel Medical Center and two from Metro Health Medical Center. Other hospitals that participated in the program include:

  •     Greenville Memorial Hospital in Greenville, South Carolina
  •     Parkview Medical Center in Pueblo, Colorado
  •     St. Mary’s Medical Center in Evansville, Indiana
  •     Watertown Regional Medical Center in Watertown, Wisconsin
  •     York Hospital in York, Pennsylvania
  •     York Hospital Community Health Center in York, Pennsylvania

Over 2,000 votes were cast in this year’s program. The top five drawings are featured on MultiPlan’s website at: http://www.multiplan.com/providers/holidaycardprogram.cfm. “We’re glad that through this program we’re able to help spread a little cheer during a child’s visit to the hospital.” said Dr. Anthony Sposato, Chief Medical Officer for MultiPlan. Sposato continued, “The proceeds from the sale of the cards help support the hospital’s pediatric programs, so they continue to work beyond the holiday season.”

In conjunction with this program MultiPlan will make a $12,000 donation to Starlight Children’s Foundation™. Starlight is a leading children’s charity that invests in the emotional health of hospitalized children with serious medical conditions through programs that help the entire family cope with the experiences of prolonged illness and improve the health outcomes of children.
