The International Association of HealthCare Professionals is pleased to welcome Elissa Jeanne Santoro, MD, MBA, to their prestigious organization with her upcoming publication in The Leading Physicians of the World. Dr. Santoro is an experienced oncologist with expertise in breast surgical oncology. She has been in practice for more than forty-two years and currently serves patients at St. Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, New Jersey. She is Founder of their Breast Care and Treatment Center, a practice devoted exclusively to breast oncology and surgical oncology cases.
Dr. Santoro received her medical degree in 1965 from Women’s Medical College of Pennsylvania, where she also interned. She then served her residency at Saint Vincent’s Hospital and her fellowship at New York Medical College with a grant through the American Cancer Society. Dr. Santoro is certified in general surgery with the American Board of Surgery and maintains a membership in the American Cancer Society, the Essex County American Cancer Society, the NJ American Cancer Society, and the Susan G. Komen Cancer Foundation.
Dr. Santoro attributes her success to great upbringing and her corrective persistence in attaining her goal of becoming a doctor at a young age. She enjoys travelling, hot air ballooning and reading in her spare time.
