With over 49 years of experience, he specializes in gynaecology, urology, cosmetic surgery, prolapse, incontinence, vaginal laxity, and labial problems, among a number of other areas of expertise.
Educated at Sydney University, Dr. Horky completed internships at Sydney Hospital and Royal Hospital for Women, residencies in Palmer, UK and Birmingham, UK, and a fellowship at University of Paris, where he studied urogynecology and surgery. He participated in this fellowship through a scholarship from the French government to travel to Paris to work with the pioneering laparoscopic and infertility specialist Dr. Raoul Palmer. Dr. Horky is a Senior Lecturer in Obstetrcis and Gynecology at the Universities of New South Wales and Wollongong, has attended many overseas medical conferences, and is a professional member of the Urogynaecological Society of Australasia, American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, International Urogynecological Association, American Urogynecologic Society, American College of Cosmetic Gynaecologists, American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine, and the Laser Vaginal Rejuvenation Institute of Los Angeles.
Dr. Horky attributes his success to having his patients’ needs as number one and being prepared to learn every day. When not teaching or assisting patients, he enjoys swimming, skiing, riding horses, and reading about history.
