Allen Greenbaum, MD, ophthalmologist at Westchester Eye Associates, and affiliated with White Plains Hospital and St. John’s Riverside Hospital Parkcare has been named a 2016 Top Doctor in Harrison, New York. Dr. Allen Greenbaum is a highly experienced ophthalmologist, with over 36 years in practice. His career in medicine began in 1979 when he graduated from Mount Sinai School of Medicine of New York University. This was followed by an internship at Beth Israel Medical Center, before Dr. Greenbaum returned to Mount Sinai for his residency which was completed in 1983. He is now a member of staff at Mount Sinai School of Medicine, training new residents in ophthalmology.
With such a wealth of experience as an ophthalmologist, Dr. Greenbaum diagnoses and treats a wide range of conditions relating to the eyes. He does however specialize in refractive cataract surgery, including laser cataract surgery in combination with premium lens implants. He was also a pioneer of LASIK and PRK surgery in the 1990s, vision improving techniques that have changed the lives of people across the United States today.
As well as being a board certified ophthalmologist, Dr. Greenbaum is an active member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery. During his long and very successful career, he has carried out thousands of successful cataract operations and laser surgery procedures.
