The International Nurses Association is pleased to welcome Janet G. Alexander, EDD, MSN, RN, CNE to their prestigious organization with her upcoming publication in the Worldwide Leaders in Healthcare. Dr. Alexander is a registered nurse, a certified nurse educator, and Dean of Health Sciences at Georgia Highlands College with over 40 years of experience.
Educated at Samford University, Dr. Alexander completed a bachelor’s degree at University of Alabama School of Nurse. A professional member of the National League for Nursing, she has received a number of awards and honors, including Samford University’s George Macon Memorial Award for outstanding performance as a teacher, counselor, and friend to students who demonstrates the ability to inspire students to greatness. She received the Alabama League of Nursing’s Excellence Award for Teaching, and Outstanding Pediatric Nurse in Alabama from the Alabama State Nurses Association.
Dr. Alexander attributes her success to her love of helping others. When not teaching nursing students, she enjoys reading and going to concerts.
