Expert Rheumatologist John M. Conte, MD, to be Recognized as a 2016 Top Doctor in Pawtucket, Rhode Island
John M. Conte, MD, rheumatologist at Rheumatology Associates, and affiliated with Rhode Island Hospital, Kent Memorial Hospital, and The Miriam Hospital, has been named a 2016 Top Doctor in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. His career in medicine began in 1978 when he graduated from the University of Connecticut School of Medicine. This was followed by an internship at George Washington University’s Washington Medical Center. A residency was undertaken at the Newton Wellesley Hospital at Tufts and two fellowships were completed: in Geriatric Medicine at Edith Nourse Rogers Memorial Veterans Hospital and in Rheumatology at Harvard.
Dr. Conte is dual board certified in both Internal Medicine and Rheumatology, and is also renowned as a specialist in geriatric care and medicine. With approaching four decades of top level experience, he treats a wide range of conditions including gout, osteoarthritis, and rheumatoid arthritis, and expert procedures conducted by Dr. Conte include arthrocentesis.
With a reputation for clinical excellence, and his caring and compassionate attitude towards his patients, Dr. Conte is a rheumatologist in high demand. Even so, he still makes time to sit on the leadership council of the Southern New England Arthritis Foundation, and to serve as a volunteer at the Rhode Island Free Clinic.
