The recent overthrow of Dictator, Hosni Mubarak, in Egypt could very well serve as an end-time accelerator in the Middle East. The fall of Mubarak has been the plan and desire of several Islamic terror groups who now, through the arm of the Muslim Brotherhood, hope to create another Islamic hegemony in Egypt. Even now with the Egyptian government in transition and its constitution under a complete overhaul, The Brotherhood is making strong inroads in Egypt to form a majority party and take over the reins of power there. If successful, this will not bode well for Israel or the fragile attempts at stabilizing the volatile Middle East.
The Muslim Brotherhood is a terrorist organization who helped fund and create terrorist organizations like Al Qaeda and Hamas. Indeed, they are committed to the radical Islamatization of the entire Middle East with the destruction of Israel. Their spokesmen in Egypt have already gone on record saying if they rise to power and take over control of that country they will break the 32 year peace agreement between Israel and Egypt and declare war on the Jewish State! The Brotherhood believes in waging Jihad (holy war in Islam) to subdue all of the Middle East to the religion of Islam which would mean the eradication of Israel and the creation of an Islamic State in its place called Palestine! Since its inception in 1928 in Egypt, the Muslim Brotherhood has advocated the violent waging of Jihad to attain the Pan Arabic goal of complete subjugation of the Middle East to radical Islam. Former leader of the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt, Mustafa Mashhur (1996-2002), articulates that Jihad is the main goal of the Brotherhood when declaring: “The problems of the Islamic world – such as in Palestine, Afghanistan, Syria, Eritrea or the Philippines – are not issues of territories and nations, but of faith and religion. They are the problems of Islam and all Muslims, and their resolution cannot be negotiated and bargained by recognizing the enemy's right to the Islamic land he stole, and therefore there is no other option but jihad for Allah, and this is why jihad is the way.”
Therefore any talk from the liberal media in this nation or by clueless Obama administration officials (DNI Director James Clapper comes to mind) that the Muslim Brotherhood promotes democracy and peace in the Middle East is utter nonsense given their Jihadist past and ideologies. With the crisis in Egypt we could be very well witnessing the fulfillment of Isaiah 19:1-4 where God visits Egypt with judgment leading to civil war and chaos, “Egyptians against Egyptians”. The end result will be the take over of that country by a “cruel master” and a “fierce king”. This is exactly what will happen if a Muslim dictator takes over in Egypt and they become like Iran. Israel will be ready and, believe me, is already preparing its military for this eventuality. The revolutionary spirit is now spilling over into other Arab countries in the Middle East. Libya is on the verge of overthrowing evil dictator, terrorist and anti-Semite, Moammar Gadhafi. Bahrain is in revolt as I write. Several Pan Arab Muslim groups are fanning and fomenting this upheaval in their collective desire to establish a universal Islamic caliphate stretching from Morocco to Iran! This is another sign of the end as the Lord Jesus predicted; “Nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom” (Matthew 24:7).
This will obviously mean serious trouble for the tiny Jewish State of Israel. If this happens, a Pan-Arab confederacy will be born and united to attack and invade Israel as prophesied in Psalm 83. Look for Bill Salus’ article on this very development in our March/April newsletter. I say all this to say we are traveling back to Israel in just two short weeks and we are heading into a potentially dangerous maelstrom brewing in the Middle East. The Jewish people need to know the God of Israel has not abandoned them and they can find true safety and salvation in Jesus the Messiah. We have not met our financial goal to completely underwrite what will be this ministry’s 20th Gospel outreach to Israel! If you have not supported us yet, I would humbly and urgently ask that you make a generous donation or financial gift today so we can carry out this mission of mercy to the Lord’s Chosen while there is still time left.
