The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding. —Proverbs 1:7
Derek Prince says that God wants us to search the scriptures for truth, because in them, we will find the truth about Him. We should turn to the Bible with a diligent quest for truth. If you are not searching the scriptures for God’s truths, you are disobeying the Lord.
How much time every day do you give to God? If you are not giving God enough time, you are closing yourself off from the many blessings God has for you. Derek Prince compares it to a spiritual disease called ‘spiritual laziness’.
God’s Word is a message of life, love, and hope. Yet so many of us forsake our first love—God, and His precious message.
“The fear of the Lord is forever and all day long. There is no time ever when you should not be in the fear of the Lord.” Derek Prince says.
The fear of the Lord is not the same fear that comes to mind when you are about to get into a car accident, or when you think you’re going to lose your job. Tormenting fear is of the devil, and not of God. The biggest remedy for the fear of man is the fear of the Lord!
But what is the fear of the Lord? According to Derek Prince, It’s a special kind of fear—powerful, and physical! When Moses was confronted with the glory of the Lord, Moses said, “I am exceedingly afraid and trembling!” Why was he trembling? He was in awe at the majesty and glory of God!
Anything you fear outside of God is your god, and that is not good.
Take a moment to think about that. What is it you fear? What do you find yourself worrying about or dwelling on daily? Are your thoughts consumed with your daily trials and tribulations, or with the fear and love of the Lord?
If you do not choose the fear of the Lord, God will not restrain the judgments in your life. Proverbs 1:7 tells us, “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction.” And then in Proverbs 3:7, it says, “Do not be wise in your own eyes. Fear the Lord and depart from evil.”
We MUST depart from evil, and we are not to trust in our own wisdom. Evil and the fear of the Lord can’t be joined together. We have to make a choice: the fear of the Lord, or the things that are evil?
As prophecy continues to unfold all around us, we are at a place where we must choose, God or Satan?
Joshua 24:15 And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.
Personally, if I fear something then I want to avoid it. In my view, a God that wants to be feared wants to be avoided. People can be controlled through EITHER fear or hope. A God that wants to control people through fear must be a very evil God indeed.
You know, some people don’t think things through before they speak, but you know what, its ok, because we’re all human and make mistakes and are in no way perfect. BTookus do you respect and fear your parents? If so good, if not then you should. Does fearing your parents make them evil? I think not. When your parents raise you some sort of fear needs instilled into you, thats how we learn right and wrong, respect etc. So ask you again does that make your parents evil? I THINK NOT! GOD BLESS!
What im about say is just to get my across. Children have to be taught, from a infant into young adulthood and beyond. The parents job is to put some sort of fear into that child. Well, imagine fifty foot toddlers running around, or crawling. This world would be doomed. Children throw tantrums and are in a way wild creatures that need to be shown how to act. If there was no fear in these children from the parents babies would run amuck. The Lord is our father and I know this to be true. Hope you get the point.
You fear God. The Devil loved God and was disgusted at his creation which he wanted to destroy. So he was made the Lord of this World which he wants to destroy by destroying the fear that this material world has for ‘God’ and by doing so ‘Gods’ creation (life and this universe) so he can storm heaven.
A Transhumanist basically. Maybe children should be taught to fear what would happen WITHOUT their family but that’s all.
The problem is that religion tends to give bad reasons to be good.
Good is subject to the place and the modality of the age in that place, it is 100% subjective.
According to Christ-I-Anti’s good is not knowing good from bad, and knowing good from bad at the same time, because their ‘deity’ changed it’s mind. Originally punishing us and then damning those who hadn’t by drowning them all.
It’s hardly a surprise they are so screwed up.
“The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowled”
What ever, tell that to Mother Nature as she shakes your all your churches to the ground in an Earthquake, or a million and other ways she proves she has the upper hand.
One has to ask what wisdom there is in denying reality?

Funny, even this story isn’t about the Love of Jesus. After a review of her stories, not a single one is about the Love of Jesus, but it is just another form of fear porn in a cloak of Christianity.
Lyn, you just love trying to scare people. You must be a very sad, unhappy person with a lot of regret and bitterness inside.
“Funny, even this story isn’t about the Love of Jesus. ”
I think your sentence sums up Christ-I-Anti’s in a nut shell. All talk, no do.
In the USA Christ-I-Anti = fear porn addict.
I don’t know of a single person past or present, who practices a single thing Jesus preached,… Do you?
