Patmos is the Island in which the greatest vision of God’s ultimate divine wrath and anger being poured out in ways never before seen or experienced on the entire earth takes place. The terrible day when all of humanity is faced with extreme tragedy, from unprecedented natural disasters to the horrendous and corrupt acts caused by human beings, devils, and Satan himself. It is a day so terrible, that the Bible says men’s hearts will fail them for fear.
Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken. —Luke 21:26
Incidentally, upon reading all the headlines just in the past few years alone, one can clearly see evidence that this is the day in which we are currently living. We will be the generation to witness what John saw on that island so long ago.

Patmos, the place where it all happened, is a small, but gorgeous Island frequented today by tourists. Speaking of size, Patmos is approximately 7.5 miles (12 km) long from north to south, (at its widest is 6 miles (10 km) from east to west), and the northernmost island of the Dodecanese. It is known as a volcanic island mostly made up of rocks with few trees.

The book of Revelation tells us that it was written while John was exiled on the island of Patmos. Coincidentally, it is the only book in the New Testament where the place of writing is named. According to tradition, John was exiled in AD 95 during the reign of Emperor Domitian, and his exile ended in 96.
It is not clear if John was imprisoned on Patmos or banished here to live.
“I, John, your brother and partner in the tribulation and the kingdom and the patient endurance that are in Jesus, was on the island called Patmos on account of the word of God and the testimony of Jesus.” —Revelation 1:9
The vision of Revelation was given John by God and was dictated word for word to Procorus, his assistant, who carefully wrote it down. (Procorus is mentioned in Acts 6:5 as one of the seven original deacons.) A pseudipigraphal work found in the Acts of John by Prochorus, that was written in the 5th century and attributed to John’s scribe (cf. Acts 6:5) records many of John’s miraculous works.
“A common misconception in commentaries and popular prophetic writings is that the island of Patmos, where John was exiled, was a sort of Alcatraz (Swindoll 1986:3) or St. Helene where Napoleon was exiled (Saffrey 1975:392). This is partly due to 19th-century travelers who described the island as “a barren, rocky, desolate-looking place” (Newton 1865: 223) or as “a wild and barren island” (Geil 1896: 70). Unfortunately, these 19th-century perceptions are not accurate in describing the island in John’s day.
“First-century Patmos was a strategic island on the sea lane from Ephesus to Rome. A large administrative center, outlying villages, a hippodrome (for horse racing), and at least three pagan temples made Patmos hardly an isolated and desolate place! The harbor of Skela with the ancient acropolis (Kastelli) of Patmos to the right. Located on the sea lane between Rome and Ephesus, the harbor of Patmos was a regular and important stop along the line of communication and commerce between these two cities. Church tradition suggests John was exiled here from the city of Ephesus, where he had been serving as elder.” —BibleArchaeology.org
There is literary evidence that mentions a temple to Apollo, (brother of Artemis), more than likely positioned near the harbor of Skela. A 19th century traveler stated that,
“at the wharf I observed four or five beautiful white marble columns, cut and carved in true Greek fashion, and once very likely standing in the portico of some splendid temple to a heathen god, now used as mooring posts (Geil 1897:73).“
There are other literary sources that suggest the island’s third temple, dedicated to Aphrodite the goddess of love and beauty, might have been constructed on the Kalikatsou Rock along the Patmos shoreline.
“According to church tradition, the book Travels of St. John In Patmos was written by Prochorus (Acts 6:5), secretary to John. Critical scholarship suggests it was written in the fifth century AD. If it is historically reliable, John was only banished to the island, not imprisoned.
“Travels of St. John in Patmos makes interesting reading. On the trip to Patmos, a violent storm arose and a passenger was swept into the sea. John prayed and a wave deposited the young man back on the boat. This miracle gave John opportunity to preach the Gospel. It is also recorded that, as a result of John’s ministry, the people of the island turned to the Lord. It was requested by the believers that John write an account of the life of the Lord Jesus before leaving Patmos. According to one tradition, what he wrote was the gospel of John. While some scholars have doubts about the historical authenticity of these accounts, the book of Revelation does hint at John’s freedom on the island.
John traveled while he was on Patmos, witnessing the truth of Jesus Christ as he won many souls to the kingdom of Heaven. Interestingly enough, much of the symbolism John uses in the book of Revelation also describes various aspects of this unique island.
Now that we have some background of Patmos itself, and John’s ministry while he was there, let’s look at a divine message God left for us by choosing John as the one to receive this powerful, awesome, apocalyptic message.
John the Revelator is the disciple of love. Not only does his message of love come across passionately in his writings, but he refers to himself four times as the disciple whom Jesus loved. Interestingly enough, the number four biblically is the number of the body of Christ, and also symbolizes separation.
Many people see the book of Revelation as fearful, frightening, apocalyptic, and terrible—and it is in its own right! However, what would you say if I told you that the book of Revelation (aside from the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ), is one of the most powerful displays of God’s love in the entire Bible?

The Bible as a whole reveals the many awesome facets of God’s personality. The Old Testament shows us the side of God’s personality many ‘modern-day’ Christians try to pretend does not exist. The angry God. The God who hates sin. The jealous God. The God of judgment and wrath, (remember, please, that God never changes, and God certainly does not conform to us or our societal changes). Whereas the New Testament reveals the loving, compassionate, and forgiving side of God’s personality.
But the book of Revelation shows us one of the Bible’s most powerful displays of God’s love for His people (aside from the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ).
You might think that sounds completely crazy, because to us, anger and wrath are frightful things…terrible and horrible things! But please remember, the Bible tells us that God’s ways and our ways are absolute opposites. Furthermore, there are two types of anger; one that is selfishly evil in that it wishes destruction upon someone or something, and one whose aim is reconciliation. The latter describes the type of anger God has toward His people when they disobey.

When we truly love someone, we care enough about them to correct them without condemning them, yet without tolerance or political correctness either. There must be a perfect balance. God’s judgment is corrective love toward people; that is, in love, it intends to correct. It is not condemnation of the people.
Many people have been led astray in the areas of God’s judgment, and have turned their ear away from truth due to a common misconception that all judgment involves condemnation of people, including God’s. So they avoid the subject altogether, thus failing to appreciate the depths of God’s love and mercy. You see, God’s anger seeks, in love, to correct the very things that threaten to harm and kill us. In most cases, humans are the agents threatening to harm and to kill, including our own selves at times. As a result, God’s judgment rises against the people who are in need of correction. One manifestation of this judgment involves God letting us go our own way for a time in order to show us the futility of our lives without God (Romans 1:21-32).
“All of us need God’s corrective judgment. In fact, given our rebellious ways, God could justly condemn us. We have, in selfishness, revolted against the perfectly loving Giver of life. God thus comes against us in judgment, but His judgment substitutes fierce mercy for the condemnation we merit. The Good News is that, in Jesus, the living God has come near to us in judgment as severe mercy. Jesus brings us the divine judgment that is merciful forgiveness. Love’s judgment knows no condemnation. In Jesus, God forgives us rather than condemns us. This is the amazing grace of the Father of Jesus. As John’s Gospel states: “God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him” (John 3:17, NIV). The cross of Jesus is the place where our condemnation of God’s beloved Son becomes God’s forgiving mercy toward us. In receiving the mercy of God’s judgment, we receive the life-giving friendship offered by Jesus (John 15:14-15). We thereby become free of our destructive idols.
“If we reject God’s offer of merciful forgiveness and friendship, we bring destruction and even death upon ourselves. This rejection of God’s offer is the real hell, even hell on earth, brought upon ourselves by ourselves. It is the way to ultimate self-condemnation and suicide. John’s Gospel states: “Whoever believes in Jesus is not condemned, but whoever does not believe has already been condemned, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. This is the condemnation: the Light has come into the world, but people loved the darkness rather than the Light because their deeds were evil. Everyone who does evil hates the Light, and does not come to the Light, lest his deeds will be reproved” (John 3:18-20). Condemnation, then, is brought upon us by ourselves as we reject the Light of God’s love, namely, Jesus. This selfishly willful rejection of the Light is the rejection of life itself. It is suicidal. Hell, then, is the cauldron of ultimate suicide. Jesus came to save us from the hell of our self-condemning suicide. He challenges us to be redefined and revitalized by our receiving his Father’s free gift of merciful forgiveness and friendship. Will we receive this gift and live?” —LucEdu

You guys are so right, I for one was totally pleased with the OLD format, stories like this have a place at the TOP, where I could avoid, I enjoyed the water cooler and lifestyle, Health area where i could instantly see the topics I wanted to read about.
Now all I see is a FULL page of these conspiracy stories and religious fanatic stories.
I totally understand that there should be a place for those type of readers to go and enjoy fantasy stories, they had the entire top of the OLD site for years, but they got greedy and wanted the whole page.
Why on earth are they subjecting all of us to a whole front page??? It doesn’t mean we are going to read these stories.

I hope this post is not against the rules. I am just a normal person who is trying to understand all the contradictions I hear from the bible. Please, only true christians who have read the bible need to answer. Thanks in advance and I hope no one finds any of this offensive as these are all REAL VALID QUESTIONS….please read below with an open mind and let me know your thoughts.
First let me say, before I Ask the hard questions. The answer in my opinion is obviously, “NO”, God did not give us free will to chose. I would love
to not be a sinner, but I have no choice in the matter. I am FORCED to be a sinner, I wish I had no sexual desires with women(if its truly sinful to make love, then WHY? I love all women equally. They are beautiful in their own way. I can understand LUST being a sin, but Sex and lust are not connected for me. To me, Sex is LOVE) Sex is awesome and makes me feel loved and alive.
It was clearly said by the bible that we are ALL Sinners. I am not a theif or a liar and I treat people with respect. I am not perfect but I am close to it as possible. I like gambling but I dont understand how gambling is a sin either, considering I make money with it guaranteed, year round. There is no possible way I can lose gambling, so it’s not really gambling if you do it professionally. So if anyone can address how playing pro poker is “Gambling” when you are sure to make a living, then please do! OK so now that all your free will arguments are now down the drain, What do
you have to say about your mistake in believing we had free will?? (answer this too please)
Why would we have free will to accept ETERNAL TORTURE but not free will to be perfectly non sinning human beings? I mean
surely a perfect god could of avoided a bunch of sinning people like us if he wanted. But we dont even have a choice!

Also did you know that Jesus=666? Why is that? Does the bible explain that? If you take each letter and add it together using the scale A=9, b=18, c=27 etc his name equals 666. So does GOSPEL and many other closely related christian words. ARe you sure you guys haven’t been deceived here?
Here’s another one- If god gave us free will to chose, why didnt he give us free will to chose if we’d exist or not?
Especially if he already knew who was going to accept him and who was going to be doomed to suffer in hell?
I thought he loved all of us? If this is true and he loves all of us, dont you think he would of only created the people
who would of used their “free will” to believe in him and go to heaven?
Now you christians cant use the free will excuse because ive ironed that out.
And also you cant use the excuse that he loves us all, because
if he did, he wouldnt of created us doomed for torture for eternity (unless your twisted idea of loving someone is

so far, for people who have asked this question… so Im ironing those out here so you can hopefully see they are not valid and they clearly contradict each other. I can understand your inner fear of hell…so of course your mind will come up with anything it can think of to justify what god does, but keep reading and you’ll see that what you’ve believed all this time was wrong.
Anyone can make up an explaination for anything. Doesnt make it true or valid.
oh yeah I’ve also heard the “God is god, and he made us, so we can’t question what he does. He has the right to create
something and destroy it. Well that’s all fine and dandy, EXCEPT THAT IT CONTRADICTS the supposed fact that God “Loves”
us.
Remember, True love is not about destroying. It’s about preserving. True love lasts forever. No loving god would destroy
his beloved creation. I know I wouldn’t do that to my creation. Does that make me, a lowly human, BETTER or NICER than
GOD?! What do you think? Would you rather have a god who forgave you no matter what? I mean, as long as you were a good person and wanted to be forgiven?
Also not to mention the fact that he never would of created a douche like satan to begin with, considering he knew that
satan would cause a bunch of problems. He could of just created us all perfect, meaning perfection so we
never would of sinned to begin with.
The fact that Eve sinned, proves she wasnt perfect. Free will or not, nobody perfect would sin to begin with. So another
contradiction there. I thought God created her in his own image?
Also why didn’t god sin if he’s perfect like his creation? It seems like this god you believe in, is “better” than his creation,
therefore he created us to be worse than him. He can stand temptation but we can’t? Also why are we forced to be born in
this world, and programmed to sin?
Why couldnt he of RESPECTED US AND OUR FREE WILL and asked first, if we wanted to live or not? I know that if you truly love someone, you don’t force them into anything. But the fact is, God forced each and every one of us into these lives (at least according to what you believe, is that correct?) If so, why? I thought he was all about free will to chose what we wanted? Why can we chose heaven or hell, but not chose if we want to be born or not?
LOVE to me is not FORCING someone to live a MISERABLE LIFE,(yes my life has been miserable, just as so many others have. Not everyone has it good here. And also I tried accepting JEsus into my heart several times in the past. It never worked for me. I didn’t feel a thing. Why is that?) But why would he force us to be in misery here, just to end up in EVEN MORE MISERY WHEN WE DIE?
Have fun answeing that one! And please us VALID, LOGICAL answers only please.
No stuff like “We cant understand God, we just have to believe” That’s not gonna cut it with me, thats not a valid answer. Because if we can’t understand god, then that is proof that he is so much different than us, that he has no right to judge us. Sure he might of created us, but that was WRONG for him to do that, then judge us…when we can’t even understand how he works or thinks. I heard he has all the human emotions like Jealous, anger, etc. A perfect god wouldn’t be able to have emotions, its another contradiction.
What if the REAL god was actually the devil? OR what if the devil is actually much more powerful than god is, and he’s just too ashamed to admit it and so he lied to us and told us he is all powerful and in control?
What if satan is more powerful?
Then we’re screwed. Even christians. Theyve just been lied to…thinking they’re going to heaven
on their blind faith, when really the devil has other plans in store for you, them or us.
Just something to think about guys. Also please answer the questions from your heart, as truthfully as you feel.

PS- I’ve been getting attacks ever since I tried posting these questions, spiritual attacks. I am a good person
and I get attacked all the time by “Demons” or whatever you wish to call them. I get scratches on my body (usually
come in 3′s) look this up on google if you aren’t aware of it…it’s very real. Now, WHY would GOD attack me
for asking questions and trying to get to the truth? He wouldn’t. But The “Devil” WOULD! Now Why would
the devil attack me for asking questions that are AGAINST Christianity? It seems to me that this is further proof
that the christian god, is actually the devil in disguise. Please let me know your thoughts on this as well!
Where does one begin to answer your rambling, unorganized, incoherent post? Try organizing and editing it down better to a bullet list of questions. But anyway, this may help clear up your misconceptions.
You can choose to believe on Jesus or not, the choice is up to you.
God is a holy God and is a consuming fire. Sin is consumed in God’s holy presence. And so on the Day of Judgment, God’s presence will burn up all that are unholy and unrighteous. And everyone of their own accord is unholy and unrighteous. None of us are perfect and righteous and holy. Our “good works” are nothing but filthy rags in the sight of a perfect and holy God (see Isaiah 64:6). Sin separates men from God. So men who rest on their own merits cannot exist in the presence of a holy God without being consumed in the fire on the Day of Judgment.
But the GOOD NEWS is this: we have a mediator for us between us and God. His name is Jesus, the High Priest that meets our needs. For all those that accept Jesus, the Lamb of God, as the sacrifice for their sins and makes Him their Lord and Savior, they in effect “put on” the righteousness and holiness of Jesus Christ. So when God looks at them, He sees not their own righteous (or lack thereof) or holiness (or lack thereof), but He see the perfect holiness and righteousness of Jesus Christ. And such a person will be able to stand in the presence of God on the Day of Judgment without being consumed in the burning fire.

Why does Jesus=666? I thought 666 was the number of the beast? Is it actually the number of our saviour?
The 666 applies to the antichrist, not Jesus, whose name actually is Yeshua. And the 666 is not calculated in the way you are trying to do. It has something to do with man’s number, but it definitely is not calculated by assigning numbers to each letter.
Original sin originated when Adam and Eve disobeyed God’s commandment not to eat from the Tree of Knowledge. However, this was only part of the problem. See, when God asked Adam why was he covering his nudity, Adam blames Eve and Eve blames the serpent. They really went wrong because they failed to repent and ask for God’s forgiveness. Had God truly wanted robots He wouldn’t have needed to put the Tree of Knowledge (a symbol of choice) in the garden of Eden in the first place. So the original sin represents the first time humans disobeyed God.
Since God is omnipresent, time as we understand it does not apply. While He knows every decision we’ve made even before we were born, the decisions are still ours to make.
Which means each of us has a choice to make: Choose to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior or don’t. That’s it, the ultimate choice, everything else is one huge elaborate distraction from delaying you from making that one very simple choice.
Jesus wants to have a personal relationship with each of us. All you have to do is admit you’re a sinner and ask to be forgiven of your sins and sin no more.
As far as the rest of your post goes. It already sounds like Satan is working overtime on you. You will never find 100% proof that God is real because in the Church age we have to endure a measure of Faith and as long as you’re holding out for 100% proof the Devil is winning.
What does -458 degrees below zero (absolute zero); darkness; and evil have in common? All three can only exist in the absence of something else. In this case: Heat, light, and God.

I had a strict catholic upbringing & it appears to me that just as you can never do enough or be good enough for the corporation that employs you in your daily work, so the same can be said for Christianity & Catholicism! It just makes you wonder whether Christianity is yet another tool used by power structures that have controlled our world for millennia! Thanks very much. I will check out both of those videos. I have heard of Saturn being the real “Satan” and ruler of this earth and I can believe that possibility. True or not though, I am looking for info that will HELP US live better and more fulfilling lives here and in the next life.
Of course we could just be an alien experiment as well. There are TONS of theories and we all have our own truth. It seems impossible to even ask a question and get the same answer. Well the thing is, I love the responses and I did read them. Thank you everyone. However what I don’t like is all the contradicting info again. We have 3 people saying to READ THE BIBLE but I just proved the bible was not real. The only people who could even attempt to answer my questions were the people who admitted that the bible, and hell, were both big lies.
So, I think we already knew that. My questions were for Christians (meaning the people who believe the bible) I understand those who still believe in Christ, but dont believe the bible, might be the TRUE Christians.

First we can understand the spiritual by the physical, God modeled the physical creation after the Spiritual reality. The physical is temporary life, spiritual is immortal life. The Bible is duel, first comes the physical then the Spiritual. The first man Adam then the Spiritual man Christ.

Second God created logic. When we are told to proof all things all we have is our God given minds and logic with which to do so. Christ came to reveal truth, we can know the truth and as we are told we shall know the truth and the truth shall set us free.

But you need to re-jig your idea about hell. The idea you have, of eternal torture, is quite simply completely wrong. Obviously, a loving God would not have a special place where some people are eternally tortured whilst others live a blessed existence. That would not be a perfect solution, and God is perfect.
The basic idea is that the Lord Jesus Christ died for the sins of the world. All of the sins; everybody’s sins. Only an eternal God could sufficiently pay for these sins; we ourselves don’t even understand what they truly are in God’s eyes, so we could never fully pay for them.
Now that the sins are dealt with, which we know because the Lord’s last words on the cross were “It is finished”, we can deal with us. God will not seek to punish us, a second time, because His Son has already been punished in our stead. Therefore hell is ruled out, as a place of torment. It is not required. So now God can offer us a free pardon, IF WE ASK FOR IT. We will only ask if we know that we are sinners, and should have been punished instead of Christ. If we realise what a blessing this free pardon is, then we will be extremely grateful for it. We will only feel this if God has awakened us to the reality of the situation. This was clearly experienced by Job.

Thus, those who repent, and who are therefore given a new spirit, and thus become new creatures altogether, will have a place on the new earth. God Himself will dwell there, and in His presence is fullness of joy, at His right hand are pleasures for ever more.
Those who do not repent; what to do? They cannot enter the blessed realm, as they will immediately start sinning again. So, after the White Throne Judgement, they are thrown into the Lake of Fire, where they are burned up completely in an instant. Just as at the beginning, the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and man became a living soul, so at the Judgement, the reverse will occur, as in “His breath goeth forth, he returneth to his earth, in that very day, his thoughts perish”.
One more scripture seals the deal,
“They shall be as though they had not been”.

Wrt free will, it is clear to me that we all make decisions when we are faced with facts. These decisions are made in full knowledge of whether they are in accordance with truth or not, as we all have an intrinsic ability to recognise truth, especially when we are young. But like Paraoh, having bowed the knee to truth, many then change their minds and go back to believing lies; as they do this, their hearts become progressively harder, and eventually they no longer know the difference between truth and lies.
But guaranteed, once they did know this difference, but consciously and repeatedly chose to overrule their heart’s understanding. For this, they will be judged, and found wanting.

That version of events is so full of holes that it requires blind “faith” (i.e. self-delusion) in order to believe and accept it.

All, as you said, are valid questions. I will pray for Gods Truth to come to you through these posts and anywhere else He directs you.
My understanding of free will with regards to man being born a sinner with a deceitful, wicked heart is: The original sin of Adam and Eve, is in our DNA. From the time we are born our parents should be guiding us according to Gods Word, to the time we are ready to use our free will and choose to have a personal relationship with Him. He wants us to come to Him willingly, not because He forces us to. Thus our free will. Then we thank Him for sending Jesus to save us, and ask Jesus to come into our heart and deliver us from the evil one. We then need to be born again through Baptism with water. And If our heart is true we receive the Holy Ghost who will guide us and through whom we are able to resist temptations, gambling, sex, and whatever the devil throws at us. We will always be sinners but we will then have what we need to continue our on our way to be with our Father God. As long as we try our very best to live our lives as is outlined in the Bible and serve God by loving our brothers and sisters and showing them the Way and the Light. God will great you with “Welcome home good and faithful servant.
In the mean time, after the above is taken care of. The Holy Spirit Will rid you of the demons that are attacking you….It’s not God. You can tell satan something like, Get thee behind me Demon, or ask Jesus to get rid of it for you, but it is not God. Message to Nobody Special
As a fellow human being, after making peace with God myself, the one thing the love God impresses on the heart of a new believer is, how much God loves every single individual. His love for lost souls, such as I was 38 years ago, is the reason God sent His only Son to earth to pay the debt of my sins and yours, so you and I could be with Him throughout eternity. I say with all confidence, that He wants you there too!
I don’t mean to be mean spirited, but it is evident from your rather long disjointed thoughts, that you are confused. But I sense that your heart is crying out for help. This confused state is not from the God of the Bible. For His word says in 1Cointhians 14:33a, God is not the author of confusion. We can learn from His natural creation, the order He has set in motion—the sun, the moon, the stars, the seasons—the wonder and the beauty of it all …… it’s not an accident! I can point you in the right direction, but you must be the one who believes the truth. When Jesus was here on earth He did a lot of praying to His Father in heaven. In the Gospel of John, He prayed for believers of all times …..“Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.” John 17:17 ….. The only place I know a person can find ultimate truth, is in our Bibles.
I want to ask you a question, what is the ultimate truth for every single living human being, whether he/she is a believer in Christ, or not? ……. it’s DEATH,…. right? ……. no one escapes that ultimate reality. Physical death is the SEPARATION of the human spirit (soul) from the body. The dead body goes into the ground and the spirit moves on. Where that spirit goes is for another discussion. Instinctively humans know they have sinned, ……. sinned against man, but more importantly, sinned against God! According to the Bible, we are born into this world in a state of sinful death, and we prove it by the fact we sin, We are therefore, sinners. We are separated from God by sin. Most of us have worked for wages at sometime during our lives, for which we received compensation or wages for our labor. But, listen to what the wages are for sin are: “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Romans 6:23. Remember, death means SEPARATION! The spirit never ceases to exist, and will, according to the scriptures spend it in one of only two places. The second half of the above scripture says, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. ……. No one can be good enough to merit, or earn eternal life. God wants to freely give this wonderful gift to those who will ask in humility. A short Biblical definition of eternal death is SEPARATION from God, who is good, FOR EVER. If God made the world, and He did, for it was created naturally good for us humans. All of our material needs are met by the natural earth. All that is wrong with the world is found in the evil human heart. If God were to rid the world of evil, He would have eradicate every source of evil, that includes you and me, and every other human on earth. God has demonstrated His love in Jesus, and His patients, waiting for us to repent of our sins.
What is eternal life? The term, for unredeemed, or the unsaved person is the purpose of Christ’s coming the first time. most will scoff because they want to continue their lifestyles without consequences or accountability, they love their sin. The Bible affirms everyone’s guilt before God and relatively few will seek further understanding by reading the scriptures and praying that God might hear and answer their prayers. Eternal life is beyond natural comprehension, but that reality is reserved a new believer in the Lord Jesus Christ. “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” ll Corinthians 5:17
“These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may believe on the name of the Son of God.” 1Jo 5:13 Notice, if you will, ….. the words ….. ‘that you may know you have eternal life’ A person who truly yields his/her life to Jesus the Christ will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit who, according to the scriptures, comes to reside in the new believer. That is what is meant by being Born-Again of the Spirit. You can read about the encounter Jesus had with a Jewish Rabbi in the 3rd chapter of St. John’s Gospel.
I could share much, much more, but I believe the Lord would leave you with these final thoughts: The entrance into His Kingdom is a supernatural event, that can happen in instant of time. He knows the thoughts of your heart and knows when you mean business with Him …… He is not fooled by fake, phony or deceitful confessions. Again, he loves you personally, and proved it on Calvary’s Cross. He died for all, but He grants eternal life only to those who believe in God’s plan of redemption. It will all become clear to you in time, if you will submit your life to God.
A couple more scriptures: “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” Hebrews 11:6 and, “But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.” St. John 1:12-13
These are not meaningless words ……. Meditate on them, ask God for help to believe them! …… And see what happens! ……………… By God’s Grace, I hope to see you there on that day!

The book of Revelation is actually a collection of loose scrolls, not a book. Radio carbon dating proves it was written in 70 CE, not the text. It’s not a Hebrew name in any case. Why would a Hebrew speaking Israelite suddenly start writing in fluent Greek instead of his native language. Even if he was there it was as a prisoner of Rome, as per the Christian claim, not exile. It was found in a cave famous for it’s use by shaman, not in a Roman jail. It is not the same handwriting or style as the gospel of John. And even the gospel of John is actually by an anonymous author the same as Matthew, Mark and Luke gospels are by anonymous authors, in reality they have no idea who wrote them. Or even when, seeing as the Dead Sea scroll fragments contain gospel material that dates to at least 200 years earlier than the Christian time line. Which means all their tied in historical characters were not living at that time. eg Herod.
