Just as essentially basic as right and wrong is (aka good and evil), heaven and hell are foundational truths. We just can not have one without the other.
Are you a believer in hell on earth and that’s it? Everybody is brother and sister getting along in harmony when they die, everybody is heading off to heaven, no consequences because if they “deserved” hell, they went through it on earth already. Is that something like a pre-paid plan? Just went through hell now, phew! got through that piece of hell, we can go do whatever now because it’ll end up “everybody happy” when we die.
Maybe we weren’t aware that God does not judge people for failure to believe in Jesus Christ, but because we’re sinners. Each and every single one of us. Romans 3:23 Impossible not to be. We all need mercy, grace and forgiveness (that purifies us) through salvation. There has been only One Sacrifice sufficient to wipe each of our slate completely clean, and that is Jesus Christ of Nazareth. And those who have never even heard the Name Jesus Christ? What about the poor souls who have never even seen a Bible or have heard of God’s only begotten Son, Jesus Christ? Their conscience told them that there is a Creator worthy of our worship. The Bible says our conscience will either accuse us or excuse us on the day of Jesus Christ.
Romans 2:14-16 And unfortunately, every human has sinned against their conscience. Those who have heard the message, are held accountable as well. Probably at a higher standard because they know the difference.
But let’s get back to hell. Well, not literally that is, because it just ain’t anywhere here.
The Bible speaks of a lake of fire reserved for the devil and his angels Matthew 25:41. Human beings were never intended to go into hell. But the ones who choose to reject God will one day follow Satan right into hell and it no party there!
Jesus often used the word Gehenna to describe hell. Gehenna was the refuse dump outside Jerusalem that was always on fire. Jesus said hell was a place of worms, maggots, fire, and trouble. From that we get the image of a lake of fire and the concept of perpetual burning. The evil ones there are full of remorse and torment Mark 9:43-48.
Jesus also said that hell would be “outer darkness.” He said that some in His day “will be cast out into outer darkness. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth” Matthew 8:12, and Matthew 22:13. Here the image is one of terrible loneliness. There will be separation from God and man. Those who are consigned to hell will be put out into the inky blackness of eternity, with nobody to turn to, nobody to talk to, and they will be constantly alone. They will suffer the remorse of knowing they had the opportunity to come into heaven with God but turned it down.
Folks, part of the Bible can not be correct, another part incorrect. If any part of it is incorrect, then the entire Holy Book is incorrect. Hell is a place of eternal torture and punishment after one had died. We know that it is a pit or a grave. The word translated “hell” is Sheol. Sheol is also translated as “pit” and “grave. InMark 9:43-48 Jesus describes hell as “… where the worm does not die, and the fire is not quenched.” The Bible does not give us a location. Hell is a literal place of real torment, but we do not know where it is. Hell may have a physical location in this universe, or it may be in an entirely different “dimension.” Whatever the case, the location of hell is far less important than the need to avoid going there.
Have you ever wondered what it’s like to have a personal, intimate relationship with God? Are you wandering around aimlessly or even feeling a bit lost occasionally? Are you on a well-beaten path that you follow but not sure what the ending will be? I hope your interest and curiosity are stimulated, because that would be the Spirit of God talking to you. And that’s a very good thing! There is an Assurance, fully equipped with directions and disclosure and an unyielding, unconditional love that waits for you, that is calling you. Something that is well beyond any hope and expectation that is out there for you to have, to cherish, and to adhere to without reservation, without fear.
Don’t wait another moment living without the safety of God almighty. He desires for you to be blessed, and He unconditionally loves you, just as you are. He tells us so, and much more in the Holy Bible. He has even provided a way for you to be in vital union with Him by paying your sin-debt in full through His only begotten Son Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Religion, happy thoughts, and good works without Jesus as your Savior just doesn’t cut it; there is absolutely no way any person could ever do enough, be kind enough, give enough, or go to church enough to pay their sin-debt because it took a Sinless Sacrifice (Jesus) to pay your sin debt. In full! Already paid, in advance! Yours to claim! But you must claim it. Pray a faith-filled prayer like the following sample:
“Father God, I need Your Savior to forgive me of my sins for I am a sinner. I believe Jesus Christ was crucified, shed His Blood and died as a Sacrifice for my sin-debt and rose again, living forevermore. I am sorry for my sins and turn from them. I accept Jesus Christ (Jesus Christ God’s only begotten Son,not the prophet jesus) into my heart as my personal Savior and Lord. Please forgive me of my sins. I declare (out loud) that Jesus Christ of Nazareth is my Savior. Please fill me with Your Holy Spirit to enable me to change my life to honor You, to have an unencumbered personal relationship with You and to lovingly obey You. Thank You, Lord God. Amen.”
Guess what? You have officially been adopted into the family of God, a partnership with Jesus Christ and you now have eternal salvation! Just like that! I congratulate you, bro, sis! Now tell a friend, spread the word, and show them the same path to the gift of salvation to your family, friends, and other loved ones! Get hooked- up with a Bible-believing and teaching church, there is much to learn and to enjoy! I’m so excited for you and the good things to come for you and yours!
Nobody is guaranteed a “tomorrow” so don’t put it off, for youreternal sake!
Hell =grave or pit ( Hebrew) grave=tomb (Greek) no one is in a grave, To be absent from the body is to be present with lord 2Co 2:8, when the silver cord breaks the soul goes back to the father from which it came Eph 12:6. Hell or the lake of fire doesn’t happen until after the millennium when the Judgment of God begins. You are either on one side of the gulf or the other, not some hole in the ground
“Just as essentially basic as right and wrong is (aka good and evil), heaven and hell are foundational truths. We just can not have one without the other.”
Heaven and hell are imaginative desires, not tuths. People hope there is a heaven afterlife, they hope their enemies wont be there but receive punishment, which shows they are actually primitive and unevolved. Anyone who would see others suffering for any reason, is a psychopath, there are no exceptions. An eternal place of torture would be pointless, it’s only purpose would be for those elsewhere to gloat at. Think about that at least and what that makes you if you damn people to hell.
Other than that you are absolutely correct. You can’t judge anything without having something to compare it with. However, either extremes are bad, the objective is to reach a balance in your life. Too much light can blind you just as much as too much dark. And too much light is physically painful and causes permanent damage, the pain being your optic nerves being fried. On the other hand too much dark is very soothing, it induces a peaceful rest and it’s temporary.

…pox…Every soul ever born, at the time of death, goes straight to ‘paradise’…..Jesus’s people on the throne side of the place, and the ‘spiritually dead’, on the other. There all will wait for the ‘great white Throne judgment’. Every body is compared to a standard, called the book of life. And every soul has a listing in the book….
…. the term judgment, gets people all nervous and fearful…..but for the righteous….judgment day is ‘payday’.
