Is it Spiritual Nonsense? Divine Love Spirituality – blog
So many people believe they are to follow Jesus, but really we are to follow our feelings.
And following Jesus with your mind, by simply believing in Jesus, can be done whilst continuing to deny many of the bad feelings you feel throughout the day, all of which is actually working against yourself and stopping you from following the real person Jesus as Jesus wants to be followed.
Jesus says, ‘Follow me’ which means we are to follow along being as he is. But the problem is Jesus is perfect and we are not. We are going in the opposite direction to Jesus, which is why he said to follow him. For if we strive to be as he is, then we’ll become perfect too – somehow.
If you want to follow Jesus and yet are denying but one feeling, and by denying that feeling I mean, telling yourself it’s not important and so overriding it with your mind – ‘oh it’s not that bad’; ‘no, I’m all right’, when you’re not all right at all; ‘I’ve got a headache but it’s all right I’ve taken a pill’ – then you can’t follow Jesus because you and he are going in two separate directions as Jesus didn’t and still isn’t denying any of his feelings.
So if you say you are with Jesus, you ‘believe’ in Jesus, Jesus has saved you or whatever; if you believe you are with Jesus going to church praying away all your bad feelings, then whomever the Jesus is you believe you are with is not the Jesus who came to earth showing us how to live true to ourselves and long for God’s Divine Love by attending to all our feelings.
So The Way, is to follow your feelings, which means, to fully acknowledge them ALL, to accept them, and allow them to be, and to speak about and express them as much as you can – give voice to them, emit and emote them out of yourself; and long for their truth. Jesus lived true to his feelings. As he fully honoured them and expressed all he felt moved to say and do, so the truth of them came to him. He was and is the Living Truth, which means, he Lived True To His Feelings, and if you aren’t living true to your feelings, then you won’t be living truth. You won’t live as Jesus lives. So you won’t be following you, despite what you believe.
We are to follow our own feelings first, and if we live true to them, then naturally we’ll be following Jesus as we’ll be as he is with his feelings.
