God was manifest in the flesh
The great mystery of godliness is that God was manifest in the flesh. Christ was manifest to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself (Heb 9:26, 1 Tim 3:16).
John 4:24 God is Spirit: and they that worship him must worship in spirit and in truth.
When the Spirit of God dwells within us, we are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit. If any man does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his (Romans 8:9).
Phil 2:5-6 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus, Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God.
We are not to receive the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God. Nor are we to speak according to the teachings of men. Our conversation then, if we are taught by the Holy Spirit is spiritual.
True love with compassion and Christian unity is only possible if we put on the mind of Christ (1 Cor 2:12-16).
1 Cor 2:14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
God was manifest in the flesh, and those who faithfully receive the anointing are taught by the Spirit instead of men (1 John 2:27).
2 Tim 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
Through the Holy Spirit we are taught to rightly divide the Word of Truth. All who are in Christ are to diligently press into the Word of God. We are not to follow after the teachings of men, or depend on their various interpretations.
2 Tim 4:3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears.
As a result of the false teachers within the church, many who claim to follow Christ simply follow cunningly devised fables (Mark 7:7, Titus 1:14, 2 Peter 2:1-3).
God was manifest in the flesh, but does this allude to a trinity as taught by men.
Jesus Christ Himself declared that He and the Father were one (John 10:30). So did Jesus suggest we hold onto the doctrine of the trinity?
Deut 6:4-5 Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD. And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.
God was manifest in the flesh, and eternal life is possible to those who have the knowledge of the only true God, even Jesus Christ, who is sent (John 17:3).
2 Cor 4:6 For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God by the appearance of Jesus Christ.
The light of the glorious gospel of Christ is revealed as God was manifest in the flesh (1 Tim 3:16, 2 Cor 4:4).
The only true God spoke the world into existence, and He created man from the dust of the ground. The phrase, let us make man in our image, is a horrific translation of this creation passage. This verse simply states that God spoke and created man (Gen 1:26).
The other passage in the book of Genesis that is translated incorrectly is as follows. And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil.
The correct interpretation of this verse is, The Lord God also said, Behold, the man is become as one, to know good and evil (Gen 3:22).
All things were made by Jesus, who is the Word of God (John 1:1).
Christ made himself of no reputation. He became a servant unto all men, and gave his life as a ransom for many (Phil 2:7, Matt 20:27-28).
God was manifest in the flesh, and Christ is the image of the invisible God (2 Cor 4:4, Col 1:15, Heb 1:3).

John 14:13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
Luke 1:32 He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David.
This verse may well be the key to unlocking the relationship between the Son and the Father.
Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
This verse in Isaiah directly contradicts the teaching of one God in three persons. But it does help us in understanding the statement; I and the Father are one.
John 15:26 But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me.
The Spirit of truth is not God or a person of God. The Spirit of truth is the manifestation of Christ within us (John 14:17, 15:26, 16:13).
John 16:28 I came forth from the Father, and am come into the world: again, I leave the world, and go to the Father.
God was manifest in the flesh. The mystery of godliness truly is an awesome treasure to behold.
Matt 25:31 When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory.
Phil 2:9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted himself, and given himself a name which is above every name:
There is only one God, and one mediator between God and men. God was manifest in the flesh, and His name is Jesus Christ (1 Tim 2:5).
Isaiah 43:11 I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no savior.
Yahweh is the only savior, and He is Jesus Christ. Jesus declared I and the Father are one.
Matt 1:21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.
God was manifest in the flesh. And He will come again to separate the wheat from the chaff (Luke 3:17).
Isaiah 2:10 Enter into the rock, and hide thee in the dust, for fear of the LORD, and for the glory of his majesty.
Rev 6:16 And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb.
There is only one Faith, one Lord and one baptism (Eph 4:5).
Zech 14:9 And the LORD shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one LORD, and his name one.

…As if you know how to rightly divide the scriptures….or even know what that means. You interpret all, to satisfy yourself, that you have “inside knowledge”…not to help any others. What’s your comeback gonna be to that?
…There are many people here, smarter than you are, who KNOW you are deluded and self centered…it is obvious…You really should have tried a bit of ‘trusted’ counselling before you started this project…but, no-one else knows what YOU know about it, right?
Wow… I admit I don’t fully understand the mystery of the Godhead. What I don’t understand is all the fussing about it. Do any of us believe we have Him fully “nailed down” in our understanding?
If there is absolutely no distinction between Jesus and Father, who was Jesus praying to in the Garden of Gesthemene? Or throughout His earthly ministry?
And yet we know Jesus also stated that He and Father were One.
How do we obey His commandment:
Matthew 28
19 “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
if we’re afraid to speak of three distinct Persons?
I don’t pretend to fully understand it and the doctrine of the trinity seems to express the mystery as well as the limited mind of man can grasp. He is One and He is three.
Are ice, water and steam one, or three? Three substances with VERY different qualities, all sharing the exact same fundamental essence.
No analogy can perfectly describe its object but water, ice and steam comes as close to conceptualizing the trinity as anything else I’ve ever heard.
