Has Christianity become the stuff of Fables? The Words of God and the doctrines of men Part Five

(Before It's News)

The Holy Spirit teaches mankind

the Words of God and the doctrines of men must confirm these truths

Words of God and the doctrines of men

2 Tim 3:7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

To stay under a teacher never graduating and partaking in the ministry is a great crime within Christianity. This is similar to getting a degree in a certain field, and never leaving the classroom to utilize the learned skills.

Jesus is interested in a personal relationship with those who claim to be His followers. This intimate relationship is only possible when His Spirit resides within us.

Many that claim to know Jesus, deny him by their self centered and materialistic lives.

1 John 2:15-16 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

When people surrender to the lusts of the flesh, and the deceitfulness of riches, they also fail to see the illusions all around them.

Those who love this present evil world are deaf, dumb and blind.

1- They say that they can see, and yet they are quite blind.

2- They claim to hear, but are all but deaf.

3- They say that they understand, however they understand not.

Luke 8:18 Take heed therefore how ye hear: for whosoever hath, to him shall be given; and whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken even that which he seemeth to have.

In these last days the Words of God and the doctrines of men seem to bear no resemblance to each other whatsoever. It is as though someone has put a spell on them.

2 Cor 4:3-4 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them

An important teaching of Jesus Christ is the warning that many would come and use His name claiming to be of Him. These impostors would deceive many (Math 24:5).

Mark 13:5-6 And Jesus answering them began to say, Take heed lest any man deceive you: For many shall come in my name, saying, I am (Christ and) shall deceive many.

In the verse above, there are two words inserted that are inappropriate.

1- The word Christ, does not appear in the original Greek

2- The word and, actually means also or as well.

The  message that Jesus is declaring is that, many would come in His name and say “I am with (Him) also”.

He that is not with me is against me, and he that does not gather with me causes the sheep to be scattered or wasted (Luke 11:23, John 10:12).

2 Tim 4:3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears

You shall know them by their vain or empty words. They preach a power point sermon, about a Christ they do not have a personal relationship with.

2 Tim 4:4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables

Is there any spiritual profit in pretending to be the church of god?

When dealing with riches, there are great profits for the false teachers that have convinced their congregations that the reality of Godliness that they present is in fact the truth.

The true joy, wisdom and power that comes from a Spirit filled relationship with Jesus is never realized by those who are kept from the true Gospel of Jesus Christ.

2 Tim 2:15-16 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness.

It is easy to masquerade using a disguising pretense, and thus cloak or hide a self-serving agenda, under the pretext of operating as the servant or spokesperson of God (2 Cor 11:14).

It is obvious that the Words of God and the doctrines of men are at odds, when an audience receives deceptive teachings and is left feeling comfortable and at ease.

The end result of this charade is more revenue for these wolves in sheep’s clothing, and a deeper spirit of slumber and apathy for the listening audience.

1 Cor 2:14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

The Christian believer must rely on the Holy Spirit to uncover or reveal Christ’s testimony, as His truth is spiritually discerned.

Romans 8:6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.

False pretenses may not be punishable by death in a court of law, but when dealing with matters of spirituality they are quite deadly in their consequences (Rom 6;16-23, Rom 8:2, 2 Cor 1:9).

With the Spirit of truth we can all rightly divide the Word of truth. This is a labor of love that every believer must participate in. Unfortunately the Words of God and the doctrines of men are not often the same. We are not to depend on the teachings of man for our answers. We should all to be able to give an answer, to everyone that asks, of the reason of the hope of Christ in us (1 Peter 3:15).

Eph 4:14 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive

Too many people are for ever learning, but are not able to come to the knowledge of the truth (2 Tim 3:7). Without the Holy Spirit that is our true teacher, this is to be expected.

2 Peter 1:20-21 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.  For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

The prophecies of the scripture are of no private interpretation. No denomination or individual has control over, or final authority on the correct understanding of what is written in the Word of God. This task is reserved for the Holy Spirit that teaches us all things.

The Words of God and the doctrines of men

regarding Salvation

and what it means to be Born Again

Words of God and the doctrines of men

Our Savior’s desire is that all men would come to the knowledge of the truth and be saved (1 Tim 2:3-5).

Rom 11:26 And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:

The all refers to all of a type, namely the faithful and obedient who are in Christ.

Jesus is the only way, the absolute truth, and in him we can have eternal life (John 3:15; 1 John 2:22-29).

It is a great tragedy to never experience the true indwelling of the Holy Spirit, and yet claim to be born again. The evidence for this false claim is that this belief of being born again is made en masse, without any evidence to back it up. If the claim was indeed true, there would be one body, and one faith as a result of the one true Baptism by the Holy Spirit.

This lie that pastors tell their congregations is that they are automatically born again because they have repented of their sins, and turned to Christ for their salvation. This empty promise leads to death and destruction, as the ability to truly understand Christ and His life changing testimony is impossible without His Spirit (John 14:17; 15:26; 16:13; Eph 1:13).

When we have been transformed by the renewing of our minds, and have been truly Born Again, we can readily differentiate between the Words of God and the doctrines of men.

Few really comprehend what it means to be baptized with the Holy Spirit, and thus the Words of God and the doctrines of men vary greatly on this matter.

If Christians who claim to be born again truly were, the fraudulent teachers in the so-called Christian churches would be exposed, and their buildings would become vacant overnight.

The very first warning Jesus gave regarding the last days was “see that you be not deceived” (Luke 21:8).

The deception regarding Salvation is preached to, and believed on by the majority within the religion of Christianity today.

Today most do not understand true Christian fundamentals such as what Salvation is, or when it occurs.

Unless a man is born of water and the Spirit, he can not enter into the Kingdom of God (John 3:3-8).

If there is one key aspect of the new testimony that Jesus Christ gave us that is essential to understand, it is the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. The Word tells us that we ask but do not receive. The reason being is that we ask amiss.

James 4:3 Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.

Most people pray primarily for physical needs and wants, when their primary prayer should be for the infilling of the Spirit that unlocks the wonderful mysteries of God.

The revelation of Jesus, and the knowledge to understand His word, only comes through His Spirit. Christ ascended up on high a long time ago, and yet we are not alone, this is why our hope is real (John 14:18-27).

To know of Jesus is only the first step. He desires to literally dwell within us. A great deception within Christianity is not allowing this transformation to take place, as this is when Christ takes pleasure in us (Rom 8:11; Eph 3:17; Rom 8:6).

Romans 8:8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.

Luke 3:16-17 John answered, saying unto them all, I indeed baptize you with water; but one mightier than I cometh, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire

John the Baptist proclaimed that there were two Baptisms. The first one was unto repentance, and the second was unto the assurance of Salvation through the Holy Spirit.

Jesus Christ did not perform water baptism unto repentance, but rather the baptism of the Holy Spirit unto salvation.

The Hope of our Assurance of Salvation is actually both a tactical and a defensive weapon that we use to endure and conquer. One of the problems with Christianity today is that most have no hope. In fact few even understand the meaning of the word. How can you hope for something you claim to already possess?

1 Thess 5:8 But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.

Not only is Salvation impossible to obtain before Christ returns with our Salvation, it is also impossible to be saved without the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. The false teaching on salvation shows the huge difference between the Words of God and the doctrines of men.

The infilling of the believer with the Spirit of God is the down payment (or earnest) that Christ gives to His chosen, that He has purchased with His blood upon the cross.

2 Cor 1:22 Who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts.

The completion of His contract with us is to be fully realized and received at His second coming.

Luke 21:27-28 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.

Christ stated the promise very clearly when He said “ unless you believe and are baptized you shall not be saved”. He did not say you are saved, but you shall be saved.

He that believes and is baptized with the Holy Spirit shall be saved, but he that believes not shall be damned (Mark 16:16, Gal 3:27, Math 24:13).

All in Christ can have the Assurance of Salvation, but it does require the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. Without the Spirit it is impossible to even understand the Word of God. This is why there is so much division in the so-called Christian church today.

1 Peter 1:9 Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.
