An enormous yellow banner saying: “I Want True Universal Suffrage!” has appeared on Lion Rock Hill, the giant granite outcrop that forms a backdrop to Kowloon, the mainland part of Hong Kong.
This video shows how a small group of protesters put the enormous slogan in place.
Bloggers have already started playing with the image, for example this meme of Chinese President Xi Jinping carrying a yellow umbrella is doing the rounds on social media.
