One of the more cogent and common sense public dialogues on topic of race in America – far more respectful and insightful commentary than anything coming from figures like Al Sharpton and anyone else associated with the Obama White House. I you haven’t watched this, I suggest you take a moment to do so. Love him or hate him, agree or disagree, Charles Barkley deserves a great deal of respect in this instance for having the courage to speak his mind and demand Black Americans take control of their own lives and stop blaming others, and creating an environment that initiated yet further common-sense conversation on the subject.
“If I had came out and said, all the cops suck, all the black people be saying, I love that Charles Barkley. I am going to judge everyone by their own merits.” -Charles Barkley
