ENFJ is one of the sixteen personality types defined by the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI). The MBTI was developed by renowned psychiatrist Carl Jung through clinical observations of his patients over a long period of time. The indicator has its roots in theories of cognitive function and charts out a psychological classification of personality types.

ENFJ is an abbreviation for Extraversion, iNtuition, Feeling and Judgement. Each of the four characteristics refers to a specific personality dimension of a person.
