Satanic Church Unveils Baphomet Statue in Detroit to the Delight of Onlookers
A crowd of several hundred gathered Saturday night to see Detroit’s newest resident: A 9-foot, 2,000-pound statue of a goat-headed occult idol named Baphomet.
The Satanic Temple unveiled the bronze figure to an estimated 700 attendees at an undisclosed location. The group’s initial venue canceled after local religious groups protested.
The group’s approach to secrecy with the second venue led to little opposition on Saturday, Director of the Detroit Satanic Temple chapter and national spokeswoman Jex Blackmore told Fox News.
“Protesters arrived for a short time at our first ticketing location, but retreated after only about 30 minutes,” Blackmore said. “One woman attempted to block the event entrance and was removed by the police in cooperation with the building’s owner. “
Guests were washed in red light shining down from the rafters at the venue as “dark punk” bands played and DJs performed from a stage located beneath a lighted, upside-down crucifix. Satanic Temple officials delivered speeches and a pair of shirtless men held candles on either side of the statue, prior to its unveiling.

What did I just say about the worship of this God, to folks on thread, ‘Every Human Being faces decision, read before 9/25/15′… just a short while ago?
All have been taught to worship this God, in church, by priests, nuns, pastors, ministers, priestesses, preachers, teachers, and governments all over the world. This God is the one and only God of SATAN’S MONOTHEISM; most Americans and Europeans who are Christian laypeople will not accept this as true, but I can prove it to you all. It is not hard to show and prove, but it is apparently too hard for you to accept.
One God, Achad, Three forms, (or more). Same principles.
Remember, Satan The God of This World, is after your (each and every one of you) soul/spirit/mind/emotions AND HE IS A MASTER MANIPULATOR of such,

You know what? I saw it, but ‘didn’t see it’ you know what I mean? it bothered me, that and all of it, but I didn’t consciously say to myself, ‘look, there is the rod of asclepius’ which is his penis/DNA procreation tool.

Not just the double helix two stranded DNA, the medical symbol of a third strand, or a strong middle ‘pole’ within OUR 2-stranded helix as created in the original man and woman, to me, perfectly describes what happened in the garden of eden to Eve’s baby, Cain.

Is there a problem here? To my mind this grotesque statue is no more offensive than say the statue-of-liberty or christ-the-redeemer. Scripture sure doesn’t make a distinction when it comes to idolatry.

Have you read their manifest, Bill, because there’s far worse than the Satanists out there. I’ve read it and it wasn’t anything like i thought it would be but it turns out being just another collective agreement, er, religion.

I’ve read the Satanic Bible, a few times. LaVey’s and Gilmore’s teachings make sense to me, because their Satan is a symbol. Nothing more. No gods, beyond man. I don’t go for all of their teachings, but on the spiritual level, I can understand the appeal.
These Satanic Temple schmucks are nothing more than Evangelical Christians, preaching from the other end of the Christian spectrum. It’s inane posturing, and BS religious indignation. I can’t stand political grandstanding from any religion. I don’t care which one it is.
Nah I was more thinking of what i’d learned from specific groups of Satanists. LaVey is a topic of interest, though, and excellent material to compare side by side with Scripture in order to more clearly see that the contrast is exactly 180 degrees. Light and Dark with no middle ground.
Perhaps i ignored their roots and mostly considered them, personally, instead. For sure it’s just another religion yet our home grown Satanists might be a little more PC than the Temple variety. I dunno.
