TIP OF THE MONTH FOR JULY 2010
It’s so funny how my studies of mystical cultures and philosophical traditions seem to go through cycles and stages. And, then, just when I haven’t seen or heard or even thought about one or the other of these magical modalities one will circle back around and draw my complete and total attention to some suggestion or piece of advice that I had simply forgotten about. Such is this month’s tip. It comes from the esoteric powwow advice left by the magical and mystical sects of the Pennsylvania Dutch. They tell us that thunderstorms that boom across the skies in the month of July carry with and release from them a most powerful water called appropriately enough, Thunder water. This water was thought to be a primary ingredient in many of their rituals and ceremonies as well as a prime agent in efforts to banish disease, remove negativity and bad vibrations, wash away unhappiness and generally bring better luck and fortunes. Therefore Thunder water was also used to conjure success for energies that required a quick like lightning change.
You can make Thunder water this month yourself and use it for those very same purposes. All you need to do that is a clean glass jar; a piece of paper with the Celtic Rune TYR drawn on it, some tape and, then, but of course, a thunderstorm! (Be sure to draw the Rune so that the arrow is pointing up!) Now, tape that Rune drawing to the glass jar and then put the whole schlemole outside as soon as the thunder starts rolling in. Now, here’s a handy piece of advice as well. You are going to leave the jar open to collect the rain but you needn’t worry if the paper washes off the jar or if the Rune disappears either. In fact certain of the Pennsylvania Dutch actually believe that the water is MORE powerful the MORE illegible the Rune is once the storm has subsided. When that happens, bring the jar inside the house, seal it tightly shut and keep it in the back of your refrigerator. When you are ready to activate it in order to trigger more excellent energies, simply hold the jar in both hands and declare that you are calling up the thunder! Luck and fortune, health, happiness and prosperity will then most surely rain down upon you and yours as well!
