(Before It's News)

Middle East can beat water challenge by harnessing the power of solar. The average citizen in the region has access to a little more than 1,000 cubic metres of natural fresh water, compared with a global average of more than 7,000 cubic metres.

Singapore struggles to make itself more resilient to global warming. As a small, low-lying island nation in the tropics, this is among the most vulnerable places in the world to climate change, but Singapore has been working hard at adaptation since 2007.
