(Before It's News)

Myself along with a large number of online writers and bloggers are researching whether Facebook is really truthful when it comes to what it reports with its stats concerning how many users really are on the site.  What we have done is create a small webpage with the intention of getting as many Facebook users to visit as possible.  With this information we will be able to see first off how many users actually visit the page but we can also see how many users then forward the link on to their Facebook friends too.  We will be able to track more information than this too but the above information will be the crux.

We hope this information will prove that Facebook is honest with their reporting but we has serious doubts.  With their recent stock offerings, we have lots of reasons to believe that Facebook has and will continue to alter its stats to sell more shares and we hope to show that this is happening on a regular basis.

If you have a Facebook account then please forward this link to as many of your FB friends as possible.  We really need a large sample to accurately track the information and make it reliable.
