(Before It's News)

The Korean smartphone manufacturer has finally unveiled the full Samsung Galaxy S III specifications to the world. Samsung hosted the release event in London and lifted the curtain from it’s new flagship Android device. The Android community itself is buzzing with excitement right now and I must say that the device itself does not fail to impress. There is lots to know about the Galaxy S III, so let’s jump right in.

Design wise it is evident now that a lot of changes have been made. In no way does this device look like the Galaxy S II. However it does seem a tiny bit inspired from the design of iPhone 4S, regardless Samsung has done an amazing job with this device. Sadly the much rumoured ceramic material did not make the final cut, however the device is said to not have the plastic-like feeling most people have grown to dislike in Galaxy S II.

Samsung Galaxy S III has a lot to offer in terms of hardware. On board there’s a quadcore Samsung Exynos 1.4 GHz processor coupled with 1GB of RAM that is sure to offer blazing fast performance. The display is a 720p Super AMOLED HD 4.8 inch one and it’s absolutely stunning to say the least. Samsung has also affixed an 8 megapixel back camera that can take up amazing pictures and record flawless video in HD, whereas the 1.9 megapixel camera at the front takes care of all your video conferencing needs.

Let me say once again that the screen size is absolutely huge. Though this added real estate has allowed Samsung to put in a mammoth 2,100mAh battery. Since the device does come with 4G LTE compatibility, the larger battery is a much added plus. Another reason to add such a big battery could be the fact that Samsung wants to release 4G version of this device in USA, Korea and Japan as early as Summer 2012.

Other features of this device include Smart Stay. This intelligent new feature will track the user’s eyes and will adjust the brightness of the display depending upon reflection. This feature will not only conserve precious battery life, but will also put less strain on the user’s eyes. The new S Voice feature is Samsung’s answer to Siri voice assistant for iPhone 4S. S Voice is a similar feature, it can take commands and can talk back to the user.

Samsung has confirmed that initially 16GB and 32GB models of Galaxy S III will be available though the 64GB one will be added in the near future. The device will first launch in Europe and then will be released to an additional 145 countries. Samsung has partnered with 296 mobile networks around the world making Galaxy S III launch the biggest for any Samsung smartphone.
