This is milestone for Sony as the new Vaio T13 is the first ultrabook from the manufacturer and it ticks all of the boxes by being powered by Intel, has a hybrid storage system, starts up in seconds, is light and slim too! This ultrabook is not due to hit the stores until the summer so we have no idea where this will fit in when it comes price.
The T series will come with the normal 13.3 inch VAIO Display with wide (16:9) aspect ratio and a 1366 x 768 of pixel resolutions and there is a built in 1.31 mega pixel HD Web Camera powered by ‘Exmor for PC’ which is great for making face to face calls over the internet.
It will be powered by the entry level Intel Core i3-2367M Processor and the graphics come from the capable Intel high definition Graphics 3000 card. There is a handy 4 GB of DDR3 1333 MHz SDRAM of available memory and it uses an Hybrid storage system of a 320 GB hard disk drive (HDD) 5400rpm and a 32 GB solid state drive (SSD) the later will not be used for file storage purposes.
For connecting to the internet there is the normal WLAN 802.11 b/g/n wireless feature and for connecting to mobile devices there is the Bluetooth Ver. 4.0 + HS available. Other features include a single USB 2.0 port, a fast connecting USB 3.0 with USB charge and the HDMI out.
The dimensions of this laptop are 226 mm (D) x 17.8 mm (H) x 323 mm (W) and it weighs in at just 1.6 kilos that is with the standard supplied battery installed that Sony say offers up to nine hours of battery life!
The Vaio T Series Ultrabook will be available from early June 2012 and prices will be announced nearer the time of launch, well this is what we are hoping!
