The Sony Xperia S Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update is now estimated to arrive in the “latter part of Q2”, which means that will probably see it towards the end of June. Recently news emerged that the update may arrive slightly sooner, although a Sony customer service rep has nobly confessed that this was thanks to a mix up on his behalf. Xperia Blog does point out that users shouldn’t let themselves get too hot and bothered about the ‘late Q2’ release date as this is the schedule that was originally announced for the update.
The good news is that the forum post over at Talk Sony Mobile confirms that the ICS update will also be available late May/early June for those handsets from the 2011 Xperia range that have not yet received it.
