Gaming has always been a major part in technology and almost all the tech giants have paid attention in this sector more or less. In the World Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2012 keynote presentation Apple has focused a bit on gaming but the upcoming iOS 6 is surely going to be a great platform for gaming.
‘Cross-platform game center’ was the most excited announcements for the gamers in WWDC 2012. Through this the iPadand iPhone owner will be able to play with the Mac owner and that is why they are calling it cross platform. But Apple is not the first to develop such idea as Microsoft has already done something similar earlier with the Microsoft OS and Windows phones. This time Apple is going to make the iPad and iPhone hardware powerful enough to possible the easy migration of games from Mac to iPad and iPhone.
In iOS 6 there will be some smaller updates of game center such as challenges. Through this you will be able to challenge your buddies in gaming. There will be also something like game group which I can assume to be a group of friends who will be gaming together. In the WWDC keynote Apple also introduced some AirPlay options especially for Mac.
So, no doubt Apple is going to make a big move towards the gaming world through developing and introducing all new iOS 6 and creative features of latest MacBook Pro.The largest ever retina display device will make the developers to bring something new in the graphics area and the cross platform gaming center development will also take gaming to the next level. As the iOS 6 is still in a beta form and open only for developers, we can expect some more surprises when it will actually get released.
