(Before It's News)

We’ve been hearing about this phone for quite some time, codename Dinara, and now it’s official, and it’s heading to AT&T as the Motorola Atrix HD.

It follows the line and style of the RAZR but with soft edges instead of the sharp, robotic looking edges of the RAZR, but still, you can see the resemblance, with the thin body, the bump up top, the Kevlar back. However, the biggest difference is the soft buttons instead of the capacitive ones, which I feel is a much better decision than those made by Samsung and HTC with their latest phones. The only different is that the back of the navigation buttons is not black like in stock ICS but instead its blending with the wallpaper.

The specs are pretty standard by this time, still impressive but being in July 2012, I was expecting a quad-core device unless Motorola is planning something more for the near future.

  • Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich
  • 4.5-inch 1280×720 HD Colorboost display
  • Gorilla Glass
  • 8GB on-board storage, with expandable microSD card slot
  • 1.5GHz dual-core processor
  • 8MP rear camera with LED flash and 1080p video recording, 1.3MP front facing camera
  • 1780mAh battery
  • 1GB RAM
  • LTE

Another good addition could have been a big battery like the one on the RAZR MAXX, it feels like Motorola could have gotten a huge hit here but it missed on those 2 points, processor and battery.

Motorola is also saying that the phone is “Business ready” which includes data encryption and VPN, and the accessories available are an HD dock, a VGA adaptor and a smart controller to control the phone while it’s connected somewhere else.

We don’t know anything on pricing on availability other than its going to AT&T (the logo in the front is not very subtle)
