Here is the latest addition to the Aspire range with the One 756 am 11.6 inch screen laptop, which will now be powered by the Intel Celeron and Pentium processor instead of the Atom version as before, these may not be the top of the range processors but it is a step in the right direction. The Aspire One 756 will probably be feeling a lot more like a laptop now, whereas before the performance would have been on the same scale as a netbook, which is not good for a larger machine. It has been a while since the initial launch of this laptop, but now it is beginning to show up on popular online retail sites.
From what we can gather from the limited amount of information available the Aspire One 756 will have an 11.6 inch HD screen with Widescreen, CineCrystal, Active Matrix TFT, Colour LCD, LED-backlit display, a 1366 x 768 of pixel resolutions and there is a handy built-in HD web camera too. It will be running on Microsoft Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium operating system, powered by the Intel Celeron Processor 877 with 1.4 GHz, 2MB L3 cache, supporting the Intel HM70 Express chipset and the graphics are supplied through the Intel HD Graphics card with 128 MB of dedicated system memory.
There is a reasonable 4 GB of DDR3 SDRAM Memory available and a good sized 500 GB Serial ATA 5400 hard disk drive (HDD) for storage purposes. Other features include Fast Ethernet, IEEE 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi, Network (RJ-45) port, two built-in stereo speakers, three standard USB 2.0 Ports, HDMI & VGA out and the full size Acer FineTip keyboard with multi-gesture touchpad. The Aspire One 756 measures up at 1.1 inches (H) x 11.2 inches (W) x 8.0 inches (D) and it weighs in at a manageable 3.05 pounds with the 4 cell Li-ion battery pack installed that according to Acer will provide the user with up to four hours of power.
Expect to see the Aspire One 756 online with a starting price of around $350, it’s not cheap, but it is great machine to get started on, so it is ideal for first timers to get into the world of the laptop.
