If you’re like me, you’ve decided to stray from Apple’s mobile world and try out some of the options on the other side of the fence. I gave the HTC One X a go first simply because the hardware is gorgeous and Sense 4 really isn’t all that bad (at least not as bad as it used to be). Sadly, the battery life was atrocious, forcing me to return it and get the next best option – Samsung’s Galaxy S III.
Everything has been great so far, battery life included, except one thing. My Mac refuses to recognize the Galaxy S III. I’ve tried flip flopping between MTP and PTP. Nothing. Install Android File Transfer. Nope. Samsung Kies. No Mountain Lion support. *Throws hands up* I give up!
*Heads to Google*
I stumbled on this post in the Apple Support forums that highlights how to force Kies onto your Mountain Lion running Mac. So if you’re like me and looking for a way to sync that shiny new Galaxy S III of yours and ran into the same problems as I did above, this is what worked for me.
