(Before It's News)

Online payment procedure is a revolution to say the least. Probably the most pervasive mode of money exchange around the world, online payment procedure has set gears of online development into motion. It has fuelled ecommerce giants and is at the heart of business operations of millions of online shopping websites and ecommerce hubs like flipkart, ebay, amazon, myntra, snapdeal et. Al. Consumers benefit from the ease of access and payment and hassle free shopping environment but it becomes a little tedious and cumbersome when the amount is too little or transactions are too many.

Imagine buying movie or concert tickets twice a week online for different shows. The effort increases manifold and customers are also reluctant to enter their confidential credit/debit card details over and over again. Indian movie and performance shows ticket booking website bookmyshow.com has come out with the online wallet concept which will make life easier for movie buffs.

The e-wallet concept has been explored by many IT giants like Google (Google checkout), Amazon (Amazon Payments), Paypal, KlickEx etc. It involves a program or web service that allows users to store and control their online shopping information, like logins, passwords, shipping address and credit card details, in one central place. Bookmyshow plans to provide a similar service which ameliorates the tragedy of repetition of a small value buyer. The service will be a parking space for money which can be recharged (topped up) whenever the customer wants. This will make online transfers easy to undertake and small transactions easy to execute.

BigTree Entertainment Pvt Ltd owned company, bookmyshow.com has been registering increasing profits and revenue generation in the second quarter of 2012. It has been selling 2 million tickets per month combining the whole range of shows and events. It also raised funding from different investors which included Accel partners and Network 18 (largest share-holder in bookmyshow.com). “We were expecting 40 per cent growth then (in FY12) as well, but we did almost 100 per cent. So 40-50 per cent is what we think can be achieved in the near future as well,” Hemrajani stated. With flipkart releasing the e-wallet for its online music repository “flyte”, the online payment service involving an e-wallet is not exactly ground-breaking but it will definitely help bookmyshow.com up their ante with the regular customers and garner praise for consideration.
