HTC’s promise to push Google’s latest and greatest 4.1 Jelly Bean update to handsets has so far produced little in the way of actual updates. Samsung, who confirmed their Jelly Bean plans after HTC looks to beat them to the mark, too. But rest assured, One X owners, your time is coming soon. According to a “respected source” of Modaco, HTC will begin pushing out Android 4.1 Jelly Bean to One X owners (SIM-free units first) in early October, with branded units from carriers and such following up through the rest of the year and completing by Christmas.
Yeah, Christmas is still a few months away. The wait will seem like an eternity. But at least there is some loose date to look forward to, right?
In the meantime, phone junkies looking at picking up the HTC One X+ will be pleased to know that device will ship with Jelly Bean straight from the factory. Sell/buy tactic in the works, guys?
