Estimated Class 2, caution over plinths and ground cover within met enclosure, and shadow from nearby building (limit 7 degrees). Note: this is a recently relocated station at a WWII RAF base, not present on circa 2003 Google image.

UHI, local runways, former airbase being developed, encroaching, at distance, 17 km centre of primary English city, Manchester.

Google Earth includes 1945 aerial showing the main hanger is at least that old but looks grass strips. Been a lot of change since then and met site relocation(s). Caution over butt joined data sets.

This also tends to reveal Met Office Standards over new site location.
