(Before It's News)

The USA Science & Engineering Festival Facebook page has grown at an incredible rate! Today we have reached over 30,000 Likes on our page! Facebook has been instrumental in helping us to achieve our mission to invigorate the interest of STEM.

Festival Executive Director Marc Schulman states, “We recognize the importance of social media to our supporters and continuing efforts in spreading the word promoting STEM education.  Facebook offers us a unique, collaborative platform for us to experiment with all types of entertaining and educational content.  To reach over 30,000 Likes is a meaningful milestone and proves the importance of what we do to the fans of science, technology, engineering and math.  We look forward to the next 30,000 to join the fun!”

Since the Festival last April, our fan page has increased dramatically and the feedback we have received has really helped us to keep the momentum going strong.  One of our young fans told us that she was so inspired by our page that she decided to become a doctor when she grows up!  For us that is the best kind of feedback that we can receive and it encourages us to work even harder to make the Festival an amazing experience for all.

We have created a segment on our page highlighting STEM role models and women who have changed the world through science and engineering. Our goal is to acknowledge the important work of these pioneers in STEM and to give them the rock star credibility they deserve.  Thousands of our fans view these profiles every day and our hope is to plant the seed that anyone can change the world through science, technology, engineering and mathematics!

We appreciate all of your comments, likes and shares! Please help us keep the movement going and become a fan of the USA Science and Engineering Facebook page today! We promise you deep thoughts, an occasional good ol’ fashion STEM debate and of course a chuckle here and there!
