The new iMacs are just now hitting the streets. And not even 24 hours later, someone has gone and sacrificed a shiny new model in the name of science and general geek curiosity by tearing it apart. Japanese site Kodawarisan ripped into the new iMacs, showing that once again, it’s not only the outside of Apple products that are well designed and dare we say, even nice to look at too.
In the name of efficiency, cooling is centralized as much as possible and convection is used throughout as much as possible. As previously hinted, replacing the hard drive will be possible in this model too, though, special tools are needed to safely take everything about without destroying that nice slab of glass out front.
If you just can’t wait for the 27-incher to drop sometime next month, the 21.5-inch iMac can now be had for $1,299.
