Let’s get that rumor mill spinning. Korea’s MK Business News has reported that LG is already set to release the successor of the popular Optimus G, with the “Optimus G2″. Seems like a fitting name for the sequel. The name is not what is going to be the eye-catcher. The specs and operating system is what is going to be turning our heads.
5-inch 1080p display, and a 2GHz quad-core Qualcomm CPU is some of the rumored upgrades for this successor phone, and the fact that it may be running Android’s next creation, Key Lime Pie. Whether or not it is going to be Android 4.3, or Android 5.0, is up in the air; and this phone could be out as soon as May of next year. Might be highly unlikely that we will be tasting Key Lime by then, but it is hard to tell with Google these days.
5-inch display is pretty much where every phone is going. After the Note, HTC DNA, and Sony’s rumored “Yuga”, each OEM will start heading the 5-inch way for future smartphones. Let us know what you guys think about this rumor.
