(Before It's News)

Sony reminds me of the “Android Octomom”. The manufacturer has released a bunch of devices based on the Android OS and yet another one has popped up, this time on the Japanese carrier KDDI. That’s right, Sony’s “newborn” is known as the Xperia VL, a mid-ranged Android smartphone.

The VL will feature:

  • A 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor
  • 1GB of RAM memory
  • 4.3″ HD display
  • 13 megapixel camera
  • And 16GB of onboard memory (With memory expansion)

The specs look pretty decent for this Japan-exclusive, midrange device. Though the phone is already on sale in the country users will have to wait until Quarter 1 of 2013, to obtain 4.1 Jelly Bean.
