Nintendo has confirmed that the Wii U TVii service will be coming to Europe next year. According to company, selected regions in Euro zone will receive the service. Nintendo has vowed to reveal further details soon.
The TVii service was scheduled to be launched in North America only. However, in a recent interview, Nintendo hinted towards the possibility of TVii’s global launch.
TVii service is an entertainment app which will allow users stream through televisions and watch them live, ability to browse content on different streaming services by making use of one app and complete integration with TiVo DVRs. Previously, some believed that the service will be rolled out as a patch update to add online features such as eShop, Wii U Chat and MiiVerse. However, the service will now be releasing in December and users will be able to get it through a downloadable upgrade. The service will be free for all.
Nintendo launched the new Wii U console worldwide just recently. There are two bundles of the console available; one is the basic bundle and the other is the premium bundle. The former incorporates 8GB memory, AC adapter, HDMI cable and Wii U GamePad, while the latter comes with 32GB memory, Wii U sensor bar, a duplicate of Nintendo Land, GamePad charging cradle and Nintendo Network’s Premium membership.
