AT&T sold 10 million smartphones in the fourth quarter, breaking the company’s previous record of 9.4 million in 4Q 2011.
The results, which include Android models and iPhones, break down to 110,000 smartphones a day, according to the company. AT&T didn’t provide a breakdown of Android sales vs. iPhone sales. The latter likely enjoyed a boost thanks to the September introduction of the iPhone 5. AT&T’s primary U.S. rival, Verizon, hasn’t release comparable figures yet. For the fourth quarter or 2011, Verizon sold 7.7 million smartphones.
