You know how us here at Gadgetsteria love our music, and we’ll take all the kick butt ways we can get it. We happened to stop by the HMDX table at this year’s CES Unveiled and caught a glimpse of what was up and coming out of their camp. We got a look into the original Jam back in July and we were decently impressed with what we heard.
Cut to January and the next line – the Jam Plus – is looking to take it a step further. Keeping with the jar-of-jam style and range of colors, the Jam Plus is just looking to upgrade the experience we saw with the Jam. Even though there is a slight bump in size, there really isn’t anything different between the original model and it’s soon-to-be-born baby brother.
The big selling point that we are really stoked to try out is ability to pair with a second Jam Plus to create Stereo sound. The Jam Plus is the first Bluetooth speaker in the market that can be paired with another device to create this true stereo sound. Of course you can split them up as they are both paired and take another into a different room and get two Mono devices, but having that ability for true stereo output from a low price Bluetooth speaker is awesome.
The HMDX JAM Plus will be available this Spring and will retail for $59.99. Of course you’ll have to drop another $60 to get that second unit, but when thinking for what could be good sound – in stereo – will probably be worth that $120 price tag. Including the great size, a fun shape and different colors, you really can’t go wrong.
We’ll be looking to try out the JAM Plus when it’s released, and we’re hoping to get our hands on two units so we can see how the Stereo output will actually do.
