The jailbreaking group going by the name Evad3rs, which recently released the evasi0n jailbreak tool for iOS 6.0 and iOS 6.1 devices, has updated its offering to support the just released iOS 6.1.1.
Multiple iPhone 4S users started reporting that after upgrading their phones, they experienced 3G issues and decreased battery life. Further the upgrade broke the evasi0n compatibility even though iOS 6.1.1 wasn’t meant to patch the vulnerabilities exploited by the jailbreak.
Evad3rs announced the availability of a new version of evasi0n that supported iOS 6.1.1 on iPhone 4S. Announcing the release evad3rs tweeted, “evasi0n 1.3 with support for iOS 6.1.1 on iPhone 4S has been released on http://evasi0n.com”. Evad3rs have warned that users shouldn’t go for over the air update (OTA) as the jailbreak wouldn’t work on devices which have been upgraded through this method.
