Smart airs full-length OPM Music Video ‘Tayo’y Mga Pinoy’
In celebration of the 27th anniversary of the EDSA People Power Revolution, Smart Communications, Inc. makes its official on-air and online debut of its newest music video featuring music icons Ely Buendia, Rico Blanco, Barbie Almalbis and Raimund Marasigan as they re-create the classic song Tayo’y Mga Pinoy by Heber Bartolome.
This collaboration between the OPM rock legends and the revival of the song were to show that there is so much in the Philippines to be proud of and to be shared with the world. This video was originally aired as the newest TVC for Smart Bro and had a million views in just 6 days, proof that OPM is alive in today’s modern age.
The music icons said that the video was recorded via online streaming using the Smart’s fiber-powered network allowed them to create such once-in-a-lifetime collaboration. As Smart’s treat to OPM fans around the world, the song is available for download on iTunes and m.smart.com.ph for free. Smart users can also use the song as a free Caller Ring Back Tune by texting PNOY to 2728.
