The Indian creative professional is about to be benefit significantly because of Adobe Systems. The company has announced the launch of Adobe Creative Cloud in India. This service will entail a whole new & complete set of Adobe products & services.
Adobe’s software is extensively used by creative artists & professionals in almost all the industries. Wherever there is any activity pertaining to art, graphics or even imaginative skills, there are more than likely chances of an Adobe product being used actively. Industries like Advertising, Design, Brand Management, Game conceptualization & many others swear by Adobe products.
Presently, the company offers such iconic & ultra-useful products like Photoshop, Lightroom, Adobe Muse, Adobe Edge tools and services; Game Developer tools and integration with Photoshop Touch apps. However, given the rapid pace of development by the company, there are multiple iterations or versions of any software & countries like India still run some, very old versions, for multitude of reasons.
What’s Creative Cloud?
Creative Cloud is a membership-based service that provides users with unlimited access to download and install all Creative Suite desktop applications. It appears to be an ‘All You Can Eat’ subscription based model that brings Adobe’s latest products, services, features and workflows as soon as they are available. Subscribers will automatically receive updates as and when they become available in the release cycle.
Currently, Adobe’s products are pretty expensive to procure legally. This prompts companies to opt for some alternate techniques & they eventually end up using some obsolete iteration which doesn’t have all the latest advancements & features in the updated version.
Realizing this, Adobe has introduced some interesting promotional schemes under its Creative Cloud for Teams (CCT) package, which comes to around Rs. 2885/month. These schemes are valid only till the end of April 2013. Thereafter the prices are said to rise.
Adobe’s CCT is apparently geared towards the small and medium businesses. By introducing Subscription based pricing model, the company is hoping more companies will opt for Adobe’s products via the legal channels. Do you think the company is right?
