New Steve Jobs Photos Reveal His 1996 Return to Apple

After being pushed out of the company he founded, Steve Jobs returned to Apple in December 1996 with the promise of breathing new life into the then-struggling brand.
New images have been posted to photo-sharing site Flickr which reveal a look at the night Jobs was reunited with Apple. Former Mac OS evangelist Tim Holmes uploaded the shots along with a few details that capture the mood of the night.

“Working late on a Friday on December 20th at Apple Computer as Mac OS Evangelist, my manager came rushing past my office door saying to come with him to Town Hall, Apple’s theater for announcements, company meetings and the like,” he wrote. “It was clearly not a company meeting . . .
