HTC is getting more practical and intelligent in terms of releasing new smart phones. According to news from Focus Taiwan, HTC’s Chief Marketing Officer, Ben Ho said that the Taiwanese smart phone maker has plans of launching a sequel to the HTC Butterfly later this year. HTC aims to capitalize on the growing interest and attraction to the large screen smart phone segment with a second gen customized HTC Butterfly. Although, there is no indication provided regarding a possible release date.
Originally, HTC had planned the Butterfly as an exclusive smart phone only for the Japanese market released back in October 2012. Later, HTC expanded the product release into other markets such as- North America, Asia, Europe and Middle East. The HTC Butterfly offers an 5 inch Super LCD- 3 display offering resolution of 1080 * 1920, equipped with Corning Gorilla Glass- 2 boasting 441 ppi of pixel density.
Also, HTC is set to make its next major release, the HTC One in coming April. The original release got postponed for component storage related issues. HTC One offers a Full HD display measuring 4.7 inch and will provide 468 ppi pixel density. Another special feature of the HTC One is its beautifully curved aluminum unibody.
