I have been through my fair share of cases for my Note II. Out of those cases, currently the amazing Urban Armor Gear case has been the best one I have had the pleasure of using. The lack of a kickstand is a bit of a downside, however, as I use my Note II for videos 40% of the time, in comes the LGND case by Incipio. This is a case that incorporates a flip cover style much like the official flip covers by Samsung, while also using it as a kickstand. So let me show you what you get with the LGND so you can decide if its worth it.
First Impressions:
The case really reminds me of the official Samsung Galaxy Note II Flip Cover case. It has the same feel to it with only two differences. A strap to hold the cover down, and the ability to make it a stand. Besides that, the case has decent protection as it does one up the Flip cover by actually covering the corners around the device.

Features
Stand:
The main feature of the LGND case is the ability to use the Flip cover as a stand. There is nothing really new about this as it is implemented throughout a variety of other phone/tablet cases. It helps that it can be set in two different angles, but besides that, nothing new about it here. One little extra feature they added, are some plastic bumps on the side of the case that fit into the notches in the flip cover. This was a pretty clever idea because it helps keep your screen from sliding forward.
Rubber Strap:
The strap helps keep the flip cover securely on your phone. One thing that did concern me is how they attached the strap. It is sewn into the flip cover portion of the case, which, after using it for a while, started showing some stretch in the case. I don’t know how well it will hold up over time, but it should hold up with normal use.
Flip Cover:
Nothing much to say in this aspect. It covers your phone’s screen and is held on by the rubber strap. The cover also acts as the notches to help the screen from sliding when using it in the stand position. I also tried to use it as an easier way of holding my device but the case kept opening so I wouldn’t recommend you use it that way.

Conclusion:
All in all it is a pretty solid case. Offers all the feature of the Samsung Galaxy Note II Flip Cover case, but also throws in some extras. The case works well for holding up your phone in two angles and covers the screen perfectly. Personally, I do not like this case just because of the Flip Cover part of it. This isn’t something particular to this case as I feel the same way about the Samsung variant. The flip cover part of cases is something of an obstacle for me, as I am constantly checking my device and having to flip the cover open every time is just annoying. But that is just me. If you are looking for a better alternative to the Samsung Flip Cover case this is perfect for you. With the added stand positions, and the ability to securely strap the screen cover on, this is a great alternative. So if interested, hit up the link below and get one for your Note II.
