Addicted To Retail (ATR) Presents: Dare To Fly by Tangram.

This year’s All Star Weekend, was a celebration for the Jordan brand. Not only did they release the next iteration of the Air Jordan shoe but they got to celebrate the 50th birthday of the man himself, Michael Jordan. As expected the 29 year old brand celebrated in the coolest way possible in Houston, TX collaborating with Tangram, a NY based design group. The group designed and installed different experiences at various sneaker stores at three sites including the Galleria and Northline Commons.

The concept behind the various installations was “Steath,” and expressing this idea around the campaign “Dare to Fly.” In celebration, the Jordan brand released their new Air Jordan Shoe in addition to the Night Vision Collection, their latest collection of black light activated shoes. Inspired by the design of the shoe released called the XX8, Tangram used their creative and innovative skills to produce the stealthiest design plausible. The overall design solution included using matte black heavily on the majority of surfaces and fixtures. The darkness was contrasted with the vibrancy of neon green through lighting as well as graphic usage. The low reflectance of the black surfaces gave the interiors a general cool “stealthy” glow, visually pleasing to the eye.

The designed spaces were installed in Foot Action, Foot Locker, and a special VIP location. This VIP location was the powerhouse for entertainment, music, and everything Jordan. The space included everything from shoe customization to song recording…not to mention checking out the awesome collection of limited edition Jordans. The dynamic design attracted thousands and created an amazing social setting all in celebration of the Jordan brand.
