Freshdesk, a cloud based customer support company which offers a platform for businesses and startups to get up and running with their customer support operations has announced its latest round of funding. The Chennai based company has received $7 million in funds from Accel Partners and Tiger Global which are its existing investors. The firm had received $5 million funding from these investors last year in April. The funding news was first reported by NextBigWhat.
The exact usage details of the funding has not been disclosed by the company as of yet. Founded in 2010, Freshdesk offers a cloud-based customer support platform that integrates traditional support channels such as phone and email with social channels like Twitter and Facebook. Last month the company introduced Freshfone, which will enable your customer support team to handle phone calls which will be routed through their cloud platform.
With a customer base of more than 10000, Freshdesk’s clientele includes big names like Amazon’s Goodreads, Truecaller, MakeMyTrip, Kuoni, Toshiba and others. In May last year, the company also launched private CRM support for Facebook messages and introduced Freshdesk Future Fund to help out the startups by giving out their customer support platform to them for a year for free.
