ComScore Reveals Indian Online Display Ad Landscape In This Infographic

Online advertising in India is witnessing a very healthy growth, contends research firm ComScore. Just as the lucrativeness of the Indian online market has increased, so has the the profitability and growth of online advertising in the country. The company says that this is majorly because of  a large amount of young and upwardly mobile population where the internet has penetrated very well.

ComScore points out that 96 billion ad impressions were served in the last quarter itself across India’s websites. Around 3900 advertisers ran online ad campaigns in September, 2013 and each online India was exposed to 395 ads in the previous month. The company also points out that social media and portals have the highest ad impressions.

All this data comes from ComScore’s new Ad Metrix tool, which the company bills as a competitive intelligence tool that provides insights to both advertisers and publishers. They have published all the data in the form of an infographic. Take a look at it below.
