(Before It's News)

When it comes to good tablets, a typical run time on a single charge is about 10 hours. If that’s the case, how does a 18-hour battery life on a tablet sound? And that’s on a tablet capable of 3G connectivity, as well as calls and text.

Lenovo recently launched their Yoga tablet, an Android tablet that not only has an exceptional battery life but also can be transformed to suit whatever purpose you want it for.

The Lenovo Yoga tablet comes in an 8-inch and a 10-inch version, both running on Android Jelly Bean with provision to run KitKat in the future. Its unique proposition compared to all tablets out there is the tube on one end that not only provides a high-capacity battery typically found in laptops but also acts as a stand, a grip, and a wedge.

Before we delve into the specs, let me show you what the Lenovo Yoga tablet and its unusual design do.

The battery cylinder on one end allows you to grip the tablet much better while carrying or using in portrait mode when you’re reading a book or surfing the internet.

When placed on a surface, the battery tube will elevate the tablet at a comfortable angle so it would be more natural for you to view the screen or type on it.

Finally, twisting the battery tube will turn it into a stand so you can comfortably place it on a table to watch your movies or for doing video chats. In this stand mode, you can also use your favorite Bluetooth keyboard so you can easily be more productive with it without relying on a case or a separate stand.
